    If you read the original article, the way the guy who discovered the issue approached them was completely arrogant.

    Not a troll, seriously. This guy was talking to obvious foreigners who either didn't care or had no power to change things in Foxconn-land.

    " Dear Sir, PLEASE STOP SENDING US THESE!! " Pretty much straight to the point, no?

    So he goes and makes a huge media deal about it, and nobody really comments on (or sees) how much of an arrogant prick he was.

    Good that the issue was fixed, but he could have tried going about it more *politely.* Just my $2.02.

    --Hmm. I'm pretty happy with my " nVidia Corporation GeForce 7300 GS (rev a1) " with Ubuntu 64-bit. Only problem with it is after I upgraded to Ubuntu 7.04--64 (from 6.10--64). When you switch from X to a text console, it doesn't restore the display font.

    --I implemented a manual fix tho, works for me:

    I have been making a list of irritations that are novel to Vista. Every time I run across some new irritant, I pop open this text file and add a line to it. I am also making a list of Vista features that I have turned off because they are buggy, poorly implemented, resource hogs, unsecure, frustrating to use, etc., etc. They are both very long lists, and they continue to grow.

    --In other words: If we judge this on a case-by-case basis, there is NO "benefit" to putting a stable Grandma in prison after 35 years of crime-free existence. It would undoubtedly be more of a tragedy for her children and grandchildren if we tried (not to mention her husband.)

    --Personally, I lean toward giving her a slap on the wrist for escaping prison; but she really should be let free after all this time. "Society" has nothing to fear if she's been living a "normal life" for the last 35 years, and she's already served 2 years.

    --I've subscribed to Netflix ever since the previous Slashdot article detailing their pro-customer stance (* Reference needed - TIA) -- but have been tempted to go to Blockbuster to rent a movie for date-night (same night) that wasn't in my NF Q.

    --Blockbuster's biggest advantage, as said before, is their Immediate Availability. I have ~300 movies in my Q right now, but occasionally I'll want to watch a certain movie with Teh GF -that night.-

    --Of course, BB is far too expensive these days (almost $5 for a movie rental?? Gimme a BREAK!) so I just compromise.

    --Yup; if I ever buy a 500-gig HD, when I put (2) of them together I want an ACTUAL TERABYTE OF STORAGE, not 900-odd Gigabytes!!

    --I totally HATE the way HD manufacturers are ripping me/us off on storage capacities anymore. 320GB should be 320*1024*1024!!!
