wasn't there just a story about Sony patenting a system to do just this. Something about your player encoding a unique code onto the disk on first use.
In the develop world we don't need to solve (contend with daily) these problems you mention, if i did a quick trip to my friend google I would probably find enough information to start solving the problem myself (Being creative and improvising as need be). I may even share my solution with others in similar circumstances.
Ultimately this is in Microsofts best interestes to ensure people can install Windows SHINYNEW(tm).
There scattered offerings are the cause of this problem, they should offer one OS install disk with maybe a few kernels.
Disclaimer I've never installed windows 7, its on mums cheap laptop and works fine for her much improved on previous offerings and for once MS makes XP look like the dated and cumbersome giant it is.
As mentioned before UltraVNC one click is the best solution to this problem it requires no firewall config on their end, just email them the 161KB EXE and tell them to run it, cant get easyer!
Time-lapse movies of the clouds circling the north pole show the whirlpool-like cyclone there is rotating at 530 kilometers per hour (325 miles per hour), more than twice as fast as the highest winds measured in cyclonic features on Earth. This cyclone is surrounded by an odd, honeycombed-shaped hexagon, which itself does not seem to move while the clouds within it whip around at high speeds, also greater than 500 kilometers per hour (300 miles per hour). Oddly, neither the fast-moving clouds inside the hexagon nor this new cyclone seem to disrupt the six-sided hexagon.
I've had a chance to play with a interactive whiteboard i think it was from these people...
They have just done done a study into many different brands for use in schools in NSW, Australia. I'll post more when i get to work, I haven't had a chance to read the report yet.

All my co-workers here at The Department of Education and Training cant wait to get home and look at this site (Its blocked from here through the great DET firewall) they all thought it would be a great laugh to see what the kids are saying about there teaching friends still in the classroom. Performance based pay had been a big issue here recently, we in the office think this would be a great Idea let the kids work out how good the teachers are

From the linked site: "It almost feels like typing on your laptop, but more comfortable." Just what I want in my desktop sized keyboard
