    On USENET binary groups you see lots of incomplete and degraded parts of data, but they're reconstructed with par2. Can't something like that be adapted to this situation as well?

    You can do all those things with downloaded movies playing from a networked computer in your living room through the S-Video output that's standard on most graphics cards, and plugging the audio output from the compy into any powered speaker setup.
    That's how I watch all my favorite downloaded tv shows on my tv, it works great.

    Bittorrent over i2p works very well at this point, provided there are a lot of people in the swarm of course, and works much better than i2phex at this point.

    It's strange that these people on the internet2 haven't switched over to a peer-proxied anonymous network considering the only thing that's holding regular users from using the different emerging networks is the considerable bandwidth overhead, something that the internet2 users don't have to worry about.

    That's just a technicality and you know it.

    The only reason that you can't own that intellectual property is because they have to pervert copyright law into benfitting the public good, and it's only a means to an end, not some kind of endorsement of intellectual property law.

    Sure, why not? If I listened to RIAA music, I'd probably pirate it, then find the bands I like and just mail them a buck. That'd be like a hundred times more than they'd ever see, so it'd be all good. Less than legal, but who cares about what's legal when assholes like these guys own all the lawmakers?
