Doesn't anyone else feel that it looks like a console from the 80's trying to hard to seem futuristic? I think the damn thing is ugly as sin.
It looks like the controllers are going to be USB so it will probably take some kinda of USB adapter to use your old controllers. I'm sure if Sony doesn't release an adapter one of the other controller makers will do it soon after release.
On one hand I scream no don't do this, don't force me to play in an economy that will be all fubared by the influence of an outside currency.
On the other hand I can see Sony's desire to cash in on this market, I have seen estimates of up to 800 million with 20% of those sales being from Sony products. Kinda makes me want to try and become a professional farmer myself. I would finally have a reason for playing all those hours that my wife would find acceptable.
They also have an article about this over at Yahoo.

The article states that the police refused to do anything for the theft victim because the item wasn't real. Why don't we consider these things real? You can be assured that of a hacker deletes/steals files from a corporation or government entity the police would consider this a real crime. Where do you draw the line?
No thank you, I feel that if she had her way we would become the next socialist state. Government sponsered healthcare, no smoking/fatty food cause its bad for you, can't let your kids play those video games it will turn them into moral degenerates. We would be lucky to take home 25% of our pay after taxes. I think I would vote for Al Sharpton before I voted for Hillary Clinton.
If you have an opinion on something you are biased towards your opinion. You can give unbiased advice/information but you can't give an unbiased opinion.
Stick with censoring your own country's access to information but keep your damn hands off of mine. I can just see the next UN scandal. Porn for food program.
Thats exactly right. Nokia needs to design the device with gaming in mind first and the phone features second. If the thing doesn't play games very well because of poor button layout and whatnot and their aren't any games worth playing on it you will not get the gamer market that you are looking for. Lets face it the demographic for this phone is not regular cellphone users, they wouldn't waste their money on such a clunky phone. They need to make it for the gamers that also want a phone and don't care so much how the phone portion of the device. I think Nokia would have been better off working in conjunction with Nintendo to create a hybrid phone based off their pre-existing architecture.
Have they fixed their problems and are allowing more subscribers now or will the EU players be on their own segregated hardware and unable to play with the US players?
The states might technically have a choice on this matter but in the end their choice will be dictated for them. Did you ever drive across the state of LA after it refused to raise the drinking age? Their roads where horrible. Eventually they gave in so they could fix their roads.
If a state refuses to go along with this indeffinently then their interstate system will collapse and soon after their economy. Easy example of that is that all those drivers/tourist/truckers will choose more easily traveled highways outside your state thus taking all the money that would be spent on food/gas.

Wouldn't solar radiation be a hazard from the constant light?

I can see it now, all the criminals will be recruiting the kiddies chatting on AOL to make their passwords for them.

EQ2 was actually a pretty smooth release as well. They where ready and very quick to bring up more servers during those first few days as well.
