I do mountains of Windows GUI crap to control my hardware designs via serial port and Ethernet. Realbasic makes it all easy and it's not as annoying as Visual Basic. Nicely object oriented. Even file i/o is OO.
I used to have sin episodes, but I take medication for it now.

Toy Story 3 Scrapped

If you read the quotes, they simply would want the original team that did 1 and 2 working on 3, so it's possible they may do one. There's no sense in being rigidly pro-sequel or anti-sequel. The only rational position is "make a sequel if some has a good story to tell in the Toy Story universe". The market for it is probably there.
Can we hope to see this sort of thing spread? Can we hope to see the creative arts industries wake up and kick the coke addled, bromidic MBAs out of the animation studios and film sets, and into their little offices so they can work on their little spreadsheets like they are supposed to?
This Rocky Delgadillo is the same guy that helped ban lap dances in Los Angeles County because city bureaucrats know best what two consenting adults should do on private property. A bigger bunch of complete tools you'd be hard pressed to find. They are proof that Democrats can be morals imposing dickheads just as much as anyone.
Delgadillo also opposes the police enforcing immigration law because he's bought and sold by local business interests who want the cheap labor.
I know people like to rip on it, but X-Play gives, I think, good reviews while showing near continual game footage. Their simple 1 to 5 system is better than all these other attempts at "accurate" rating systems, especially when you consider the bias. They rarely gives 5s, and they do give 1s and 2s. The basic scale (from memory) is:
5 - a truly innovative game, or an outstanding example of an existing genre that transcends the competition
4 - An above average game. Nicely done but maybe has one or two things that make it fall short of greatness.
3 - Average game. Competent, but nothing new or special. Fans of the particular genere make like it more than other gamers.
2 - A misfire. Something went wrong in the development cycle. Not a horrible game, maybe even worth a rental, but not real good.
1 - Danger! Danger, Will Robinson!
Anything more detailed than that is pointless because it's subjective. Some will love a game other hate. They may pick on certain genres, but they will review based on the functionality of the game. For example, they've been ragging on RPGs a lot, but have given 4s and even a 5 to some recent RPGs.
Automatic Updates once installed an update and restarted a PC in my lab without asking for permission to restart. It interrupted a long term test of a digital system, and required me to redo two days worth of testing. Take your Automatic Updates and stick it.
Just build me a game machine, Sony. I'm at an age where I can afford whatever I want, but what I want is some deep and immersive gaming experience at a reasonable price. I would like to retire some day.
Actually, the Alladin series was OK. When a cartoon has Hitchhiker's Guide references, it can't be all bad. And I liked Dan Castellana's turn as the genie.
You might be underestimating a bit exactly how much room there is out there. The main problem for orbital slot congestion is still bandwidth limitations. These satellites are tiny specks in the void.
Oh, and watch the anime Cowboy Bebop for a real nightmare scenario. The universe in that show had a massive explosion on the Moon, enough to knock out a visible chunk, and the Earth/Moon system is now cluttered with thousands of little asteroids, and living on Earth means a daily meteorite forecast.
I dunno... if people find a porn site accidently, are they someone who would normally seek it? Do the accidental porn tourists generally click away quickly? I'm not convinced of the value added there without some actual research data.
I'm still suprised when the porn sites resist the.xxx domain. It seems to me it would put an end to the whining and moaning. Parents could just block *.xxx, and the porn companies could get on with their business and lay off a few of their legal staff. People could set up *.xxx only search engines. There's a world of possibilities here.
Did anyone feel a disturbance in the Force? As if thousands of players cried out in pain as their character's jobs were deleted?
In fact, *I* predicted that Cringely would predict it.
The cartridges were *big*. :-o
Whoa. Ease off on the Japanese porn sites.

So to be *formerly* developing nations.

Seriously... someone needs to ask why?
If I could get investors to pay me million to make silly films, I'd do it. I'd even try to make the scripts decent.

Two points for forward planning, I guess.
Isn't there Helium-3 in the Earth's mantle? Could we go after that? Build one of them there driller vehicles.

I've been saying for years now that ideology is a mental illness. Sadly, it afflicts 99% of the population.

Speak for yourself.

Heh heh. As a space exploration advocate, I was going to pick on you, but that was pretty funny.

Why not just build their own search engine and see what it returns? That actually seems cheaper than using a squad of government lawyers.
Clippy or no Clippy?
