Sadly, while this should end debate, it's unlikely to do so.

A lot of times the media, or hysterical people trying to find a "cause" for something, extrapolate from a few anecdotal things they've heard.

For example, today I saw a scientific article misinterpreted by the news as saying Vitamin E will get rid of ADHD. The sample size was too small (81 total subject, of which I think 44 were not controls) to really "say" anything like that.

Does it justify further study? YES. Can we say that Vitamin E (fish oil) will cure ADHD in young kids? NO.

Stop living in fear and treat this as we treat natural disasters and food poisoning - don't overreact, don't reduce your freedom or liberty, but do allocate a PORTION of your police resources to proper detective work in tracking them down.

    2. caffeine - yup. mind you, there are side effects, but tea and coffee are good. no, the sugar and stevia rushes don't really help you long-term, no matter what advertisers tell you. if you must use sugar, use cane sugar, the less processed the better.

    3. exercise - mild to moderate, gardening counts - this always helps, but excessive exercise is way less effective. forget the perfect abs commercials, just get 15-30 minutes of mild to moderate exercise - of any type - about three times a week.

Now I'm sure by posting this I'll get lots of people arguing for their favorite drug or supplement or placebo (up to 2/3 of all prescriptions in Canada for example), but you're basically wasting your money and it's not helping you.
