I think this is just the business cycle for the two companies... once the street catches up with Intel's newest offering AMD will have something newer and better on the horizon.
I am sure that many of Sony's flagship products are very good.. however they started slapping their name on a bunch of products that were just regular consumer items and were of poor quality, diluting their brand.
They could get away with this if they still made quality products, but they have flooded the market with a ton of junk. After buying several sony items that quickly died on me I will never buy sony again. The propietary stuff is just icing on the cake.
I hate to disagree with you but I don't think I would want any hobbyiest made device plugged in on a plane... It might be making ragged ri that could mess up the planes electronics.
The OOP syntax in VB.NET is horrible and does not translate to the terms we are used to with c++ and java. The vb.net compiler also misses things that would be caught in c#.

Big companies know how to do the lawsuit game as well as anyone. It is the little mom-and-pop webshops that would not survive.

this happened to me after a couple years of touring with the Dead.
It was pretty cool, at Cal-Tech the gravity detector's mirrors were so flat that they didn't need adhesive to fix them in place.
This is only fair, if you aren't using the infrastructure of the city you shouldn't have to pay for it.
