People from both sides should really stop bitching. I just dont understand Nix v. Win is really a pointless arguement. Nix will never be Win and vice versa. Both of these OS's have audiences that they cater to, and MOST of the time the people in those audiences DONT want to switch because
They are comfortable with their choice and usability of their OS!!!
No matter what Nix evolves into it will NEVER have the usability of windows because its the customizeability that makes it what it is. The geeks/nerds who do everything they do with nix like it for that reason. Its their envorinment and they are used to it.. the wouldnt switch for anything
No matter what Win evolves into it will NEVER have the secuirty or the openess of NIX. People are comfortable with its standardization of software i.e. that they can operate with little to no effort. Minus the OS patches/fixes it really is idiot proof as far as usability goes. Usually plugging in a pen drive into your nix distro doesnt work etc...

I work for a fortune 100 company and the mainframe is not going anywhere. It is THE platform that handles almost everything. It has remarkable uptime, and computing power. Though it can be cumbersome and not so "user friendly" but who cares cause it does the job so well.
So much relies on it and companies are taking the "if its not broken, dont fix it" route. Moreover I highly doubt any other existing platform could replace it. All to most of the people that deal with the mainframe here are middleaged as well. Food for thought. I recently graduated college with a CompEng degree, and they want me to now learn JCL and are shocked that I didnt have a single mainframe course in my cirriculum.
Know when you are driving and birds shit all over your windsheild.... or even dust how do they plan on cleaning ALL of those mirrors..Id imagine that they have to in order to maintain efficincy..Damn i would hate that job...

If thats the case, then just call them up and tell them talk a lot of shit...
1) You were going to tell your friends to switch to sprint and now you are going to tell them that their service blows
2) You will refuse to pay your bill unless they resolve this issue, that they will have to spend more on collection agencies than the amount is worth.
3) You will report them to the BBB,
4) try to make them sympathize with you "what would you do if you were in my shoes??"
5) ask to speak to a supervisor.. keep escalating till you get what you want.
6) ask for the person that you are speaking with's name.. that makes them feel accountable if they fuck up.
some company tried to shaft me last year and I wouldnt let them off the phone till it got my issue resolved...
Ive got to agree with dunc. I chose sprint as my first cellular provider and never looked back. Their customer service is very good, their coverage rocks, (unless you go to canada or live in a bomb shelter, the boonies, east bumblefuck, west bumblefuck or any of the other adjacent towns. The original poster must fall into one of those categories. Either that or needs to get a new phone.
I dont get it, if the gap filler was there to prevent tiles from rattleing and causing damage, and they pulled it out because it was sticking out. What did they replace the gap filler with? Did they replace it with anything? If not, isnt that a bad thing as the tiles can vibrate and come loose upon decent? If they did fill it i wonder what type of adhesive they used to make it stay in place? One that doesnt need air to bond Id imagine.

We should ban any product using their chips...If china doesnt give a crap about our patents, then we shouldnt buy thier products. Its just that simple. Ill pay the extra 10 or 20 dollars more if things were made in the US. Id rather see us as self reliant and have things be more expensive than put our balls in chinas hands and live in cheapo land.
But then again, who cares, if they want to continue to rip off our stuff let them.. Its only going to hurt them in the long run. There is NO substitute for hard work. The will get sucked into this cycle of copying and wont learn anything. Like when the russians copied our B29's they copied everything so verbatib they even copied a patch in the sheet metal!hah!
China reminds me of that one grubby kid in engineering school who ALWAYS copies other peoples homework... Never even bothers to try it for himself. Claims he is learning, but just copies it verbatim, so much so he copies the name too. Its all good till the test rolls around, then he is screwed. Maybe he will be able to cheat on the exam too, but what happens on the job... eventually it will catch up with him.

I literally NEVER get spam on that account. So your claim that hotmail purposfully sells its lists or allows spam to go to ALL hotmail members is bogus. Stop signing up for pr0n stop giving merchants your email, and dont use email addys like puppy123@hotmail.com and I gurantee you wont have any spam from anywhere. Hotmail most definitly does NOT allow spam, nor do they sell their lists or anything like that. If you dont believe me make a new hotmail account, dont give the address to ANYONE... and see how much spam you get. You wont get any, guranteed. But of course you must make your email address something that a dictionary cant get etc..
