So let me get this straight. Paper ballots cannot be lost, thrown out, replaced, or stuffed?
Just because there are flaws with the current implementation of electronic voting, you can't sit back and ignore how monumentally fragile the paper ballot voting system really is. Sure you can sit there and hand count a stack, but how can anyone ever prove that the stack is the exact same one cast by the voters?
Well, when you realize that one of the reason the pentagon (shape) was chosen for discordianism was because of the Pentagon (building), it's not so impressive.
In fact, that's the kind of behavior you'd expect if they are concerned about getting sued
That's EXACTLY why that want to maintain control over it.
The state and federal highway organizations are very protective of certain data and media concerning the roads because of potential lawsuits.
...is that we know about this story. The journalists didn't disappear into the night before they could be heard.
It may not seem like it, but it is progress.
The problem is that people such as yourself make gross generalizations without bothering to look at the details.
1) The posted link provides evidence from 2004 about the consensus stance on Global Warming, however, the link you posted talks about scientist change in 2007. Again, the difference sources don't conflict with each other. It seems now that scientists are distancing themselves from the alarmists in that we're not headed for immediate doom and gloom, however we still need to tackle the issue. 2) The two articles about polar bears, which you claim are different, agree with each other, in that there is a rise in polar bear population in eastern Canada.
I mean, his buddy Peter tried that stunt and sliced off somebody's ear, but he got yelled at for it, and some claim that Jesus even went and put it back on.
Ahh, and now that we know Peter was a rabbit, this explains why people always eat the ear off of chocolate bunnies first at Easter. It all makes so much sense now!
Is it not actually fixing your morality? Yes it is.
I disagree with that. A depressed person may have an outburst, but feel bad about it later because they knew it was the wrong thing to do. Antidepressants will help control the outburst. The person has the same morality in both cases, it's just the reaction to the situation or control over behavior which has changed.
I guess this means that someone is going to build over-priced PCs with Commodore stickers on them?
I would say that this is doomed to fail, except that I know there is a market of 30 something virgins with $$ to burn who are going to impress each other with their fancy new Commordore stickered over-priced PCs.
1) Pretty much all these viruses/malware target Microsoft's own software
2) Microsoft has more resources than all the other companies combined.
3) People are going with Microsoft's solution assuming that it is the best one
So basically, Microsoft's half-assed software made antivirus software a requirement in the first place. Instead of using their vast resources to fix the underlying problems, they build more half-assed software as part of their big money grab.
Without fail, my iPod used to die on me every time I flew. 20 minutes into the flight and BAM the drive goes into wacky mode. The unit locks, heats up, makes a sickening grinding noise as the battery quickly drains.
I finally fixed it by ripping the thing apart and re-seating the drive cable. But still...

Your parents must be proud.
If you thought it was hard finding ATI drivers, try finding nuclear sub drivers!
I've seen the opposite with Ubuntu. I updated to the latest release and the system lost my network card.
Shrug.
People got along for more than 100 years in cars without GPS systems telling them (in some cases incorrectly) to "turn right in 300 yards".
Perspective
People got along for thousands of years without cars, so maybe you should consider getting rid of yours.
That's just people making stuff up again.
Also...the Air Force was still part of the Army when the Pentagon was built.

Um... pause it until the entire thing downloads, then play it?

Thank you for your contribution to ignorance.

There's already a great one: The Golden Rule
But I'm a sadomasochist. Hmmm... woohoo party time!!
there was no energy savings because I'd already switched most of my lights out for CFLs
CFLs still use energy...
Both of their statements are correct unless you go out of your way to misinterpret them.

It is a patent. The submitter is just dumb.
linky
I prefer furious masterbation

Incidentally, why all the MS hate?

ooh, looks like we touched a nerve
It's OpenSource journalism. Why check for accuracy when someone else will do it for me?
I believe it mainly is age discrimination here.
Sounds more like a case of useless employee discrimination.
Things that make you go "Hmm."
Nah, not me. I tend to respect what precious little science knowledge I have by not using it to make up random shit.
