No actually i did mean defiantly , Its was a bit of word play I use quite often . Basically i was meaning it "Was far better than i had expected it to be ";) . Plus it normally catches people out who expect a standard phrase like "Definitely one of the best *" Unless of course you're just agreeing with me then cough*. My only real error there was using it twice
I defiantly agree with you there . I really like the look of the new Zelda game.. I also really like the look of Wind waker . both are very stylised.. it just so happens that cell shading is a more in you face (Jargonistic cringe) style . We obviously wont recognise Realism as a style as quickly as well... it takes a special eye to see the style in the ordinary
We do tend to appreciate realism more as it can help with the immersion in certain types of games . I am glad this time around it is realistic as it does fit better with the older link .
Zelda 1 : hard to tell , perhaps more towards the Manga cartoon style though Zelda 2 : Very defiantly going for the more adult realism , though it was a NES game so no miracles here Zelda 3 : Very defiantly cartoon style Zelda 4: same as above Zelda 5 : The realism , though young link did have many things which would suggest it was slightly more cartoonish compared to old link Zelda 5.5(Majoras mask is technically a side story) : Majoras mask whilst still on the same engine and using a lot of the same models was a middle ground , very fantastical but had an air of realism Zelda 6: Cartoon cell shaded goodness , shame about the triforce hunt. Zelda 7: realism.. quite beutifull , lets hope it lives up to expectations , though I am yet to be let down by a zelda game (we don't include those horrible CD-I abominations
The gaidens are all cartoonish
So having a look back at the games , they were a mixed bunch artistically . This is why i never understood the criticism of the wind walker as being "SACRALIDGE" , I normally just assumed the people complaining were not old enough to remember anything other than Ocarina of time,oh and they didn't own a game boy .
"As far as you assertion that Yahweh needed to correct himself... hmmmph. He didn't change the message because he made a mistake. He changed the contract He made with humans, because _we're_ not perfect.";) but shouldn't It of known that.being omnipotent and omnipresent and all that jazz
hehe that was very cool,Luigi's peeved off sidekicks were great . It was most defiantly not just a kids games , perhaps for those a bit young at heart though.. defiantly one of the most enjoyable RPGs in a long time . Plus it has about 50 hours game-play (from my end of game time record, play time not time real time) which really impressed me).. perhaps i just took my time playing it , though normally i finish games well under quoted play times .
Luigi really could use another staring role . I defiantly think that he was talking about Yoshi getting replaced as Mario's sidekick.. or should i say promoted , as they have only ever been sidekicks in 2 games iirc and mainly yoshi has been a star in his own right.
I agree on many your points being valid , though i still disagree on a few key issues (such are these issues ) . my point about the personal biases in the last paragraph i see was not that clear.
I should have mentioned that what i was inferring is that the way someone translates a phrase (as translating word at a time will give you pure gibberish) it is open to the persons personal interpretation. for example (since you speak some latin) the phrase "Igne Natura Renovatur Integra" a direct translation would be " fire nature renewed whole" , my interpretation could be "Nature is renewed by fire ".. even in English that phrase is up for to debate as to its meaning. Or i could translate it as " wholly renewing nature requires fire" and so on..
Even if all the scholars agreed in their interpretations of the ancient Hebrew and the ancient Latin texts , the books currently used in the practising churches are a far cry from the scholarly text , and vary amongst themselves .
A single misinterpretation of a word or phrase can drastically change the meaning of an entire chapter of a book.
Insightful was that , funny/insightfull with parent the up moderate do.way a also is order word reverse.tricky slightly is it understand to. fun of lot a though .
I have the ultimate weapon in AI detection , it's called severe dyslexia . If I don't spell check and proof read then no bot could hold a conversation with me . Instant messaging is not a great place to rely on spell checking and proof reading , but it does rely on our minds ability to see past simpel speling/grammer erors (intentional)
No true at all , Translation well after the fact can cause many many inaccuracies and there have been many many alterations to the texts . there have been numerous theses written on this and perhaps you do not accept them , but because my opinion differs does not make it ill informed .
There is likely no definitive answer to this , as an Agnostic I am more inclined to believe in the alterations having occurred and having been significant.I have also read texts which agree with you , I however do not
speaking three languages and having read certain books in two or more i can see large differences between texts not even 10 years old . That however is pure anecdotal evidence , If you want something more concrete on the belief in the changing versions, then there are numerous articles online.
On the mono-poly debate , well the books i read did differ on a few things . Some espousing the (As i like to call it ) Mrs. God theory others more in line with demonic theory.. though still if they are refereed to as divine beings then there is an argument for polytheism .
the last point , well again you will find arguments for both views (and a few other views.. some involving lizard men.. but i try to avoid those) . It is part of a much larger debate.
I am more than certain that you (as could I ) parry each of these opinions back and forth for years on end , citing study after study , archaeologist report after report . My opinions are as much based in fact as your opinions are . I can not state them as fact neither can you , as there is little solid evidence either way and all the studies are (since this is such a fiery issue) heavily subject to personal bias.
I could read genesis and exodus and come off with the idea of god as a child murdering psycho , where as you could read it and see a heroic liberator of slaves.. the whole thing is up in the air . I did not present them as facts only opinions based on texts i have read.. just as you have.
"Did you ever notice how science changes its anwsers so damn often. But the Bible stays the same." That is a whole crock of nonsense if ever i have heard it. Compare older versions of the Torah in Hebrew to the old testament. Compare the old and new testaments , even compare different modern versions of the bible. It has been shown that the Jewish faith as early as 800BC was perhaps not monotheistic . The rules of the many Christian churches have changed so often it isn't funny.
In essence the bible has been rewritten so many times , that perhaps at one stage it may have contained the truth (I don't know , and i don't believe.. but its possible) but the amount of rewrites due to political slanting and posturing , making bits fit the ideas of the current church and plain old translation errors have made the thing a total mess.
The bible if anything is the work of man... if it was the work of god then I'm fairly sure it could afford someone to handle continuation.. and why would a perfect being make a mistake and need to correct it with a new testament..
Science may change , but so does your faith . the only difference is science changes based on understanding and advancement . The bible changes based on confusion and politics .
Take the core of your belief , the love , the helping others and faith in a higher power out to help us and use that . Don't use the confusing mess of a book that has caused countless deaths.
God and science , the twain shall never meet . you can enjoy science and a strong faith in a higher power. Science is not something to put faith in , it is something to take understanding from.
That is all well and good , and I am a major proponent of Open and healthy sexual concepts and removing the puritanical silliness of unnecessary shame. Though when the little Git is meant to be doing his maths homework , or learning.. he better expect some punishment for slacking off.
there was a Zelda subscription service in japan.. well the modem add-on (Satellaview) for the SNES had two games.. BS Zelda http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BS_Zelda and BS Zelda: Kodai no Sekiban http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BS_Zelda:_Kodai_no_Se kiban. not exactly what you meant;) but still bloody interesting.. The emulation is not perfect so there is no real way to enjoy them right now IIRC.*If your listening nintendo.. how about including an emulated version of these with Twilight princess *
Wind waker was great.. unfortunately it was rushed and half the triforce hunt had me reaching for a bottle . All together it was a great game,... just a tad on the short side(if you remove the bloody triforce hunt).
Link is defiantly a romantic character ( Sentimental romantic , not amorous) and a good iconic hero . Though he is not the one to shift consoles to the masses.. that's Mario's job . The Zelda games are there for the slightly more dedicated players
Honestly though , I don't mind waiting 6 years for a Zelda game (well i do moan about it.. but they are always worth the wait )
Dear sir , I had blanked those out of my mind.. I will send my therapist bill to Mr A.coward as it will take many years more therapy to get rid of them again. Seriously though.. I wouldn't count those as Zelda games and they were not made or ever partially controlled by Miyamoto san .
These abomination occurred due to the screwed up partnership with Philips and the ill fated CD add-on for the SNES (another side effect of that being the Playstation ) , the licensing deal for the new console included 2 Zelda games , after nintendo ended the deal Philips still had the rights to make 2 zElda games(typographical error intentional ).. unfortunately they didn't have the rights to any talent
I don't really think anyone is particularly lazy , i just think we are overworked. Fair enough comparing us to farmers , or the serfs of times past then we are fairly lazy.. but this is why technology was developed. So we could have more time to concentrate on the important things like family and friends and generally having fun. Though what do we do..get stressed when we are meant to be resting as we may have not complete the days load. humans developed the spear so we could quickly kill large animals , have food for the week and get back to doing cave paintings and having sex.
They still have not made a crap game in the series(Zelda 2 and Wind waker are arguably the worst in the series and they are amazing).. I would be rather annoyed if they totally ended the timeline though since Twilight princes is to be set before wind waker.. I would like one last game after it to be set after the original Zelda game to tie up all the loose ends and finally have the triforce of power taken from Gannondorf. Though when Miyamoto San says that there will not be another Zelda game in its classic form it will most likely be far better. He is the only game designer who always delivers a game that lives up to the hype . It's rare in the industry to retain such a record , the only other designer who even comes close in my mind is Warren Spector. I don't want to seem like a brainless fan-boy and if he ever does mess up i would have no hesitation saying so , but the fact remains he has not yet .
speculating on marios new sidekick.. I am expecting a bird of some type or perhaps something to do with digging.. but we will have to wait and see.
According to the ever reliable Netcraft it is at position 18490 nuzzled between Espanol.weather.com and cocklovingmoms.com... seems like a nice place to be *? *
for a bit of perspective in this , slashdot.org is as at 37 , www.debian.org is at 1812 and technocrat.net is at 25803.
You can get fairly good quality out of speakers that cost 100 euros , naturally though speakers costing 5 to 10* that are going to be far better but the average person would only likely notice the difference if its pointed out to them... unless they want to play at higher volumes then the difference becomes painfully obvious. If you want to take full advantage of a good sound chip on a budget then headphones are the only way to go.Obviously that's not always an option if you have people in the room as-well , but if your on your watching something or mixing by yourself , spending 70 euros on a pair of headphones will likely net you far greater quality than a 70 euro set of speakers.
Slashdot speaks with three voices , everyone thinks it is one because each of the three different groups are always doing sarcastic imitations of the other groups.Everyone has forgotten which voice is which so are using the same voice.. Job competition is the same as any other type of free market competition . Transfer wealth from your primary market and you could cause a domino effect , not to mention the PR perhaps persuading your consumers to go with the competitors . It would be better if they would instead of shutting down current bases of operation, just open new ones to help create the new market
Around where i live , It is cheaper to buy a new lexmark printer than to buy official refill cartridges ( around 60 euros for a cheap lexmark printer and about 65 for the cartridges ) , the new printer comes with the cartridges.. Of-course i can get the third party cartridges for 5 euros.. Not that i would actually want a lexmark printer , but its something to mull over
Actually Wario's name in english is a bit more witty than you would first think.. Warui is the japanese word for bad/nasty (I can't remember which one).. the W also works as an upside down M (the anti-mario , perhaps refrencing the inverted crucifix.. that's pure speculation though)
"Coincidentally, Gamespot has an article up entitled The History of Mario Sports Games. That's called synergy, folks" Mario sports games have in my experience been really top notch . I do not believe though that they are a perfect example of the other definition though as i don't think they are abusing the license...
