In the good old days she would of been fired on the spot for unethical behaviour , i think he is confusing the good old days with the 1980s .

So Dvorak has seen another chance to jump in the lime light and play the under-dog
and stir up some controversy by calling all of us who called for O'gara to be fired "lunatics" (not just those who issued death threats , who are quite likely a bit mad)

People who avoid apple for silly reasons like that are missing out on a great set of hardware and software, I dont buy hardware because of marketing .

I buy my hardware based on quality and the software it runs.
I have an imac from 5 years ago that still runs soundly using ubuntu ppc (its actualy still ok for os x if i had wanted to run os x on it )
The main atractions for me are os x , the power consumption of apple hardware, The ability to run all the software i require and cost compared to quality/realiability and service.

The people avoiding it because of snobbery are guilty of the same thing themselves really.

Pascal was slaughterd in the iso standard ( though still a very beutifull language) Its the language i cut my teeth on before moving to C and i have alot of respect for it .
I don't think it would be imposible to resurect as pascal tends to be very freindly to new developers as it is very strict so errors are easy to discover.
it just needs a buzz application to attract people towards it (note that in germany it is still used as a teaching language , though it tends to be windows specific coding which is unfortunate)

I may just be sufforing from a case of nostaliga , but i do enjoy pascal coding.
too many languages now see freeform as an advantage when it can promote alot of bad habbits for the new codder, though it does allow for better structure of codding when your used to your language

Pascal often takes alot of slack for being a toy language or a mear teaching language but it is certainly more than that and can be used to achive great results.
