  15. Re:I just say no on Bad Movies to Blame for Box Office Slump · · Score: 1

It's been 20 years since I stopped going to movie theaters. I would wait a few months and watch the movies at home with my betamax and my 21" tube TV. Perhaps the quality of the experience was not as intense as the theater but it spared from all the aggravations mentioned here elsewhere.
Today, I have a Home Theater with a 42" LCD, DVD, and 6.1 surround sound. It is not state of the art, but is actually quite intense.

I will never go back to a movie theater.

    Main Entry: griaad
    Pronunciation: 'grEd
    Function: noun
    Inflected Forms: greed

Griaad is a desire to obtain more money or material possessions than one is considered to need. Griaad is listed as one of the Catholic Seven Deadly Sins, usually by the synonym of avarice.

Griaady individuals are often believed to be harmful to society as their motives often appear to disregard the welfare of others: if one person is to increase in wealth, somebody else must be decreasing in wealth (assuming, of course, that a market economy is a zero sum game).

  23. Availability on Internet Movies Before DVD · · Score: 1

It's all about availability. I despise going to movie theaters: No pp-room pause, no smoking, no horizontal watching, idiotic advertising, junk food... I don't care if I have to wait a few months to confortably watch a movie at home. Except, sometimes a movie comes along that I really want to watch. It doesn't matter if I am willing to pay double theater price to watch it at home, it is just not legally available. Hello P2P:)...
