One new iTunes feature that slipped by me was the new 'Apple Lossless Encoder'. Unlike music formats like MP3, AAC and Ogg Vorbis, lossless encoding results in no loss of quality - the music file sounds exactly like the original. The downside to this is that files compressed using lossless compression are typically quite a bit larger than their lossy counterparts.
Now with this we can see great applications playing high quality audio. Thanks steve!!

Welcome to the home of the Viola world wide web hypermedia toolkit. The original Xwindows, independent, experimental, scriptable, object oriented, alternative, etc, web browser. ViolaWWW is an extensible World Wide Web hypermedia browser. Based on and drawing from the Viola scripting language and toolkit, ViolaWWW provides a way to build relatively complex hypermedia applications that are beyond the provisions of the current HTML 3.0 standard. The Viola browser was the very first web browser to support interactive embedded objects, and other features such as tables, input forms, stylesheet.

The video game ratings system will add a new category to protect children under 10 from seeing certain kinds of violence, the board that administers the system said on Wednesday. The Entertainment Software Rating Board said ``E10+'' would mark games that might contain ``moderate amounts of cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes.''

After IBM its CA now. This is wonderful. If all the corporates decide to open up their patents, code and other intellectual property we would be living in a better world.
Eveyone benefits:
1. Corporates get great community support
2. Application get enhancements and maintainance at super speed
3. Communities get source and rights for further development
4. Consumers get great products and services
Microsoft, are you listening?
But your honor, they have the option of cliking 'unsubscribe'. That way I know for sure that its a valid email id and i promise never to send another email to that id and also not sell it to my associates who are selling viagra
what ever they looked at they do have a point. Here is one article that speaks about "Firefox false sense of security"... NOT a troll, I didnt write this article. Its from PCWorld.com This is pure information
Eolas pretty much have the patent on the way the modern browser works. I feel that this patent should not be granted. I no body has this paptent to their credit. It would be a BIG loss to the browser world
This could be rejected by human brains due to psychological reasons. Maybe because of the simple mechanism that my own cell phone is acting smart and wants to take my own snap for me to use it. Just a thought....
Yahoo is HUGE. By having a developer's community not only will it attract all the geeks from/. but also tap into the infinite intelligence that is not tied to any corporate world
Its inevitable. I'm one of the millions of users who have downloaded FF and never use it. So downoads is no measure of popularity. Other statistics derived by tracking the browser of users visiting popular websites is a good measure. FF is more of a hype and ppl look at it as a small competitior to the giant MS. But the hype will fade and IE7 will be soon out and things would again go the MS way. I hope its not the case. But its inevitable
My first brush with linux was 7 yrs back when I was attempting to install it on my pentium 2 PC. I had an AMD 188 MHz processor and 2.1 GB of hard disk space. I made 2 partitions out of it. 550 MB partition was dedicated to Linux. I successfully installed Linux after 2 days of hard work. But still I couldnt get the proper drivers for my Philips monitor. I had linux for about 4 months and then decided that it was a total waste of precious memory. That was my firt and last stint with Linux

I had a doubt. If my neighbour uses my wireless network (which I have kept open as a social service) to download copyrighted stuff, can I be sued????

I sometimes wonder if it is ethical to attract the employees of a rival organization (maybe by offering better perks)

All we need is a P2P BitTorrent and it will do away the need for torrent hosting sites like LokiTorrent and SuperNova

I thought this was only possible if we could bend the light waves so that the waves circumvent an obstracle.
But I thought Windows was PROVEN by research to be safer than linux. Dont believe me? Read this article: windows safer then linux
