    He admits in that post that the kernel is the same. Xbox and 360 both run modified windows kernels with more modified windows userland code. The Xbox and 360 do indeed run windows derivatives.

    Really? What are all those security updates on windows update then?

    I've never understood the reason for anti-virus software in general.

    Most security vulnerabilities are publicly disclosed before the vendor is notified. Virus writers can exploit a hole much quicker than a vendor can create, test and distribute a reliable fix. Once you have a virus, getting the patch for the vunerability doesn't magically disable it.

    I doubt that very much. Each bot is connected to one of many control servers, the attacker has a script running on his machine picking a random bot and telling it to attempt a connection to the specified host with the specified username.

    Are you kidding me? Firefox crashes regularly when I use it at work. (More than when I use it at home... maybe the proxy code is less tested) The rendering engine is so incredibly slow compared to chrome. Scrolling up and down the page on slashdot causes noticable lag, even moreso when loading another page on a hidden tab.

    Chrome has none of these issues. The javascript engine is the fastest ever built. Each tab is isolated in a separate process which means no delays in foreground tabs just because a page in the background is loading.

    Add the fact that there was no ignorance of the pre-existing condition here. The woman was at one point a friend of the family and knew that this girl had depression and was taking medication to treat it.

    I'm thinking the issue is you and not everyone else. Rose flowers have a distinct smell, body odor has a distinct smell (though some are more potent than others and some dont smell at all) Deodorant advertising is not why I wear deodorant.
