    The problem is that demand isn't exceeding their promises. They're seeing users watching less of their tv content and viewing shows online, which makes them less money. This is a problem that must be solved, by preventing people from watching shows online.

    I dont think you're going to see games targeted at the DSi. Maybe some will take advantage of the extra ram somehow, but they wont just drop the installed base of DS owners.

    This is completely wrong. Every modern OS uses write caching to increase perceived write speed. The write will eventually make it to disk but is not guaranteed until after an fsync completes (and sometimes not even then.)

    Padding is often used to make the section of an executable line up with a boundary of some sorts. 4kb is pretty common. Most of the time you will see 0s all the way to the end of the file, sometimes with the last few bytes being a path string to the pdb file. Replacing those 0s with "PADDINGXX" like in this case is nothing to get worked up over.

    People should have the freedom to use unsafe products if they really want to.

    And what if people dont know that these products are unsafe? I have the option of buying tens of thousands of different products at the store every day, should I have research each and every one of them before buying just to be sure it wont kill me or my family? There needs to be some reasonable expectation of safety here.
