    No,also I don't think they will bin Linux version of Yahoo messanger, that would be stupid, especially for DOJ stuff :))

    Being an Opera user, I can't describe the discrimination I get from Yahoo. I searched a lot, couldn't find another portal. Let me describe it easily, Yahoo works in HALF for Opera. They even say "unknown browser" on their so-called media wizards lol.

    They bought Launch.com, first thing they did was REMOVE Realplayer option (oh no,don't fucking flame me on that, yes I used it since it worked with my browser) AND making it uncompatible with Opera etc.

    That story... Believe me, can be 90% chance true!

    Well when people choose fps numbers over quality, this happens.

    Also let me say, I owned a AWE64, Creative made it as an orphan... I couldn't stand to that "hsss" noise anymore on windows 2000, I bought another card. Even people figured where that noise comes from, they plain didn't listen to us. Cancelled my post on news server etc.etc.

    I had a only spec while buying new card (in fact,chip)... "let it not be creative"...

    Its just the same I feel about nvidia.

    Also I know Aureal story, what a sad thing in fact. Just by "law" you can "kill" your rival.

    So, Nvidia has at least competitors. As an 3dfx owner, I don't want to become alone.

    We, 3dfx owners know how a company they are... Since we are without new drivers since nvidia bought 3dfx.

    No need to describe, I guess 3dfx owners with a clue understood what kind of a company they are... In hard way...

    Oh me? When it ships (or shipped already), I am buying it... I won't buy from a company which left me in "digital cold" just because they bought my card/chip maker...

    mod me as you wish, I couldn't stand not saying this stuff...

    Yea, a company which made its name for SAFETY choosing a DOS hybrid Windows 98 as its OS for a car isn't worth a story.

    FYI, Windows 98 can't run complete protected memory and in theory, a single MODE command when booting from DOS would crash entire system.

    Cars use VxWorks etc OS'es, NOT a customer operating system.

    I shouldn't waste my infra keyboard's batteries. Just one question, mr "Grown Up"... What was the purpose of MSNBC a venture of MS making that story than?

    Xp Embedded maybe, Win2k embedded maybe but for GODS SAKE, not a DOS hybrid!

    I sometimes make a stupid thing to say I prefer Realplayer over Windowsmedia on Slashdot,they nearly kill me. I decided not to reply to those even.

    Oh Sorenson will never,ever open their specs for codec. I mean GPL it ... Geez, its their only job coding properioary codecs.

    When Sorenson Boss gets impressed by petitions and open sources his codec, he will lose the company... Hmm, will geeks donate him via Paypal than? I mean, while he is working at some pizza store? :))

    ME= Hybrid of Win 98 and 2000 running on FAT32.

    Horrible system indeed but kinda interesting. Some parts are windows 2000, some parts are windows 98 (of course,modernised), has System Restore function and more modern Networking code.

    Oh, never ever replace your windows 98 with it.

    Hi,

    Old Amiga genlock supported it, so that sort of advertisement is here in Turkey for 5 years or so.

    Now, don't tell me it exists nowhere? It makes us the inventors than? Shame... lol. Its called "banner" in TV industry here. They are 25% higher priced than the "rate" of the program they are in. Like TV guys would know, class gold-a-b-c-d-e

    I don't know if it exists other places but I say... If it never existed there, let me give a clue... It sux! It amazingly sux!

    Some of them even have "soundfx" in them lol.

    Ahem, in this particular website, never,ever say a closed source program with features not matching average geek does well :))

    Every company has its own website and download servers but average user (or luser) goes to download.com to be more practical.

    Get Opera for your platform (http://www.opera.com), with a single click to a button, you can switch to "user mode" CSS which practically makes it a simple webpage ;-)

    As I prefer Realplayer (when no choice except wmedia), I am kinda used to it.

    Versions below "Realone" (in fact,9) had a real easily accessible option to check what is the server OS and realserver version.

    As I remember myself, always interested in those huge servers which can handle thousands of clients on media platform, checked them...

    Guess what? I don't know if its changed or not, speaking about year 2001, all of them were linux 2.0 kernel!

    I guess, its not just "old" machines, people trust to that "old" kernel in fact.

    It could be kinda preventing downtime too,as serving video/audio 24/7 (media) doesn'T like downtime because some guy found a simple glitch on latest 2.4 kernel and its propangated worldwide.

    But let me say, bandwidth... Haha... If you have quake III at a friend, just launch it and see how much bandwidth it uses. I say, basically ALL the available :))

    I don't want to see yet-premature directplay's bandwidth use even.

    So, you will block them too?

    What about broadband radio/tv? What about launch.com?

    First you say "they are promoting non ethical use", no... Especially Kazaa is unethical spyware. You have a bit point, I'd support you even.

    E.g. Einstein ever said he is a genious? Showed off to people? Or staying on story, did Carmack say "I am a genious programmer"?

    oh if u speak about his childhood problems like dysklexia, you would really get confused about the amount of the current or past geniouses had that problem, even marked as "morons"...

    Yes,what kind of a thing is this?

    I work at TV industry... Guess what? We had problems with 2-3 phone numbers which declared as "free" by Turkish Telecom (yea, nobody uses 555 trick here) and based on their numbering scheme, they would be never used.

    Guess what? After 3 years, those series have re-run, some unlucky poor guy had that phone number. Some sort of numbering change. Guy finally found us, we had to buy him a new line...

    Slashdot, is an amazingly popular site. I say what I learn from TV thing... When you give a number,some feel urge to call it! Its some sort of human psychology... There are even freaks that use slow motion to see which number is dialed at films...Kudos to Holywood, its always 555 too! :))

    I mean, AT&T is the telecoms giants but... Even they can come to point to melt.

    Besides, I don't understand the attitude of submitter, whats that? A revenge? So it makes right those giants calling "hackers" some sort of vandals?

    Gee,that explains the problems I lived on broadcast.yahoo.com with Opera... Oh it can't be true? I mean, they completely ignore Opera browser (unknown browser) on their so called "media wizard" or something... also,wait... They select windows media by default, even if you have latest realplayer installed... Most cool of all, while all this stupidness and browser discrimination happens (note,exprienced guys, starting from Opera 6,it supports liveconnect), I see a single tiny logo... "Level3 enabled"

    I don't want to believe all my unanswered feedback, stupid replies like "no it doesn't support" while watching videos etc on other places like CNN, doesn't happen just because of that tiny logo and its partner or something?

    Can't be that simple? or?

    No it exists on all IE's.

    IE normally "ignore" about:(anything) and display a white page but when you type about:mozilla , it displays a BLUE background...

    Guess where that blue comes from? BSOD :))

    Half of OS/2 including HPFS,its GUI is MS...

    IBM and MS was so serious making it suscessor of DOS, sad for us... Giant companies politics made it go away. Simple,stupid games, like promising 4MB RAM need,than at press conference, saying it will require 8mb etc.

    I actually used OS/2 Warp 3.0... I shouldn't use it for a second so, I wouldn't be sad about such a great OS wasted.
