Ok, when I install in Linux, where are my icons? Where did the installation go? It may be simple to some of you, but not to me. In windows it's easy to install and un-install.
Ever since I bought the Direct TV Hughes Tivo back in 2003 (series 2) I was able to respond to commercials. A message appeared on the screen where I could request more info on a product. I have not seen this message for a while now.
if you were to say "Apple is now irrelevant" you would get -1 flamebait... but saying microsoft is, you you get +4 interesting... I guess we will all defend Microsoft when they are as small as apple.. (in terms of marketshare)

The traditional media will never disappear. Look at Radio, newspapers. What will happen is all the media will compete with each other. This will add more checks and balances to the quality of information. I believe this is also what will keep it honest.

Is it time to buy some nvidia stock? I mean $999 for a card. I bet they make more money per card sold than dell makes per PC sold. I bet the sound card manufacturers are pissed!
In Europe (and I was born and lived there) things are taxed to the max. The reason you have electricity saving devices is because electricity costs so much. Fuel costs more too. I will take the U.S. over Europe any time. Plus, being skinny doesnt mean you are healthy. People in the U.S. have some of the best life longetivity in the world, so I dont think being over weight is bad.
What would rock is for Firefox, or mozilla, to come up with a bundled Firefox/Linux package. Light stuff, with the ease of installation and usage as firefox. Focus 100% on the end user and desktop and give it to me. I would be willing to support it in whatever way possible. This would kill Microsoft and would allow us to have the best OS/Browser combo in the world.
Since we turned on SPF/Caller ID on the barracuda box, our spam has gone down to maybe 3 or 4 messages per day per user. SPF is so easy to implement and it could end all spam.
I totally agree with you on what you say. Stern is breaking the rules and it makes people excited. I actually got rid of XM radio in my car. The content of regular FM got better, and the talk shows on AM radio are much better than any talk radio on XM.

You will be able to stream such a video to a TV or monitor without plugging it in. I saw something similar at a Lenovo show in Chicago.

MAC address is really more of an ARP thing on the LAN. You cant really get it beyond that...
