Personally, I think the fine print should be on all their advertisements (which it's not) and they should also have it in large, easy to read print for those visually impaired on the order page. If not, it should be considered fraud. However, that is my opinion, not the law...
You got it - in 2003 my basement was flooded out by a storm, I discovered that the municipality was at fault, and after some arguing they re-embers\ed the insurance company for the damages and I am left with a clean no-claims insurance record.
I think using facial recognition in addition to existing PIN numbers would add a level of security that might start to be useful. Particularly if the system used more than a camera, but some time of safe low-level x-ray to detect bone structure as well - this would be much harder to fake.
Main reason probably that hard drives and power supplies wear out over time, it's cheaper to buy all new at once for a business than it is to go around fixing everyones computer one by one. I'm sure the old computers were more than fast enough.
Wow, imagine how much money they could have saved if they had switched to Windows Server 2003, you know, since the "total cost of ownership" is so much lower? (laugh)
I have my laser printer right beside my desk, I've been noticing for awhile now that I start sneezing whenever I print a page.. must be all the particulates that come from the toner. I don't print much, so I think the solution will be for me to move it too the other end of my office and network it.
Yup I think that's very true. I know I get tired of mainstream music after hearing the song on the radio 10 times I'm sick of it - no need to buy it or bother to download. Good indy music I'm willing to pay for and support the little guy.
Yeah, the RIAA might be able to identify the IP address of coffee shop that I'm at for those few minutes... Have fun, you'll also find my mac address is a little different than when I purchased my laptop (with cash).
Then again, I don't like mainstream music crap anyway so why would I bother to download it.
We also have some laws in Canada requiring ISPs to service some remote communities (such as native villages) if they want to enter the lucrative urban markets.
Yup, that is totally correct. The word "trademark" is used because it applys to a given "Trade" IE computers or music. There is also something called a well-known trademark for some of the leading brands in the world, so you can't start a car dealership called Coca-cola motors.
Yes that's what I've thought. In fact, I decided to charge a "levy" for everyone who walks or drives down my street, not all of them break into my house, litter or smash windows in my house, but some of them do. Since it's too hard to catch those who did it I am going to stop them all and charge $1 each.
True story here - my Mom's phone line is really warn out (and the phone company has been slow in fixing it) when talking on the phone there is always a lot of static and "clicking" on the phone line - the more wind the more clicking sounds. Last winter she was woken up by a forien operator calling her and saying that she had phoned them and hung up. A few weeks later the police showed up at the door saying she had called 911 and hung up. Turns out that it was the phone line, basically calling random numbers, kind of like the movie "cellular" I guess.

Sounds like SCO's check to Daniel must have bounced...
itunes - as long as money isn't an issue
How about "Removes spyware, malware, viruses and other potentially unwanted programs"

I bet a non-neutral internet would actually only need about %1 of the bandwidth we use now, because nobody will be using it.
I have a ps2 & psp that I use for gaming myself. Good enough for me.
I'm not sure sure - if only we could generate power from all the junk email I get...

Time for hardware vendors to start selling more PCs preloaded with Linux. Why sell Windows when Microsoft is your competition?
I think those ATI cards come with built in TV guide support - maybe someone could tap into their feeds?

Maybe because it's not a microwave or existing device with specific regulations they can get away with it? Just a guess.

Try ordering tickets for something on ticket master. The PDF printout for the tickets don't open in anything but the newest Readers...

careful, with that comment, now slashdot is going to get C&D'd with a DMCA takedown notice.
