Dead wrong, going to prison is the true training course in how to break the law. I got sent there and learned more about breaking and entering and bumpkeys and the manufacturing methods of methamphetamines and even more stuff than I'd have ever cared to know.
Put his ass in the slammer for harassment. I certainly would not appreciate such spiteful lying comments about myself to be made to my mother. After having him arersted for Harassment, I'd sue for libel, for everything Jack's worth.
I find it quite funny that this man has managed to get himself modded informative with no information, just a hopeful statement and a stereotype from the 80s. This man must be a MacGuyver fan, hardcore!
They both work in the EXACT SAME MANNER, by depleting your ATP levels via use of an electrical current to overstimulate your muscles and burn energy at insanely fast speeds. They're both 'tasers' or 'stun guns' in the sense they achieve the exact same effect.
What makes you think you know any better? Have you been to the plant? Are *YOU* a professional analyst on foreign policy and world-happenings? No, you're just a high-UID slashdot reader spouting off at the mouth. At least Opportunist is bothering to exercise his mental faculties. You've just got non-stop diarrhea of the mouth.
McDonald's does *NOT* have free Wifi. You pay for it. The one right down the street from my house (with a lovely 50' Plasma TV in the dining area) has a WiFi spot, but it's locked down and you don't get on without a code. No code, no usage, even a VPN over UDP doesn't work.
EFI is just an add-on to the BASIC INPUT-OUTPUT SYSTEM, no matter how anyone tries to spin it off. The higher-level functions moved to EFI, but there's still a piece of BIOS inside controlling it all.
It's called R&D costs. They know they can do it, but right now, they're too busy milkiing the current cash cow to spend money on any decent R&D advances. I'm willing to bet they (nVidia) could have had SLI out the year after buying 3Dfx, but they were too busy working off the money and paying employees and bribes to be able to absolutely dominate the video industry and put ATi and any other company that made video cards (Matrox, Trident, etc) out of business.
Without the BIOS, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find any OS that would install and run. Therefore, I submit that the BIOS is the true operating system, with everythign else being an abstraction from that low-level functionality.
If their hardware is truly superior? It's not. Like everything else now, it's x86. There is no superior about it, it's the same shit as any other computer built nowdays. The only thing that may be superior is their OS.
I've already taken it apart and compared it to my old Addams Family Pinball machine. Most of the components are the same, albeit a bit more miniaturized (considering theAddams Family pinball machine is well over 20 years old) and the action is the same, minus the cheap solenoid switches for the flippers. For all intents and purposes, it's a pinball machine, maybe 2/3 the size of what you'd find in most arcades.
Both of those universities have third-rate IT departments. UofI's network room in particular looks worse than those "Mess o cable" pictures we see on the net every year.
Then you need to run a full memtest on your RAM. Most lockup issues are purely hardware related, and about 90% seems to be RAM invovled, so check your RAM, then your CPU. Memtest86+ should do everything nicely for your RAM testing.
your laptop can emulate everything up to and including the Dreamcast, most likely. I suggest downloading console classix for everything 16-bit and under, and then I suggest ePSXe for PSX emulation and Chankast for the Dreamcast emulator. UltraHLE is still one of the best N64 emulators out there (though I don't know if you still need a silly GLide wrapper)
The moment they bought into a market they had *NO* hope of controlling they already diluted their shares. The shareholders should be filing suit against eBay.
More likely an order to make an application to strip the DRM from the music so the consumer can actually use what they paid for. Nothing monetary, mind you. California's too broke to force that from Microsoft.
It won't affect those of us in California with nice consumer protection laws and prior case law against End-User License Agreements as far as I'm aware of. We'll have our compensation somehow.

"Just one more reason not to run Windows on your computer."
Yup, as once that tool is hacked/stolen into software and available on a USB drive, there won't be one computer that's safe.

depends on the game, really. I've done multiplayer chess at a LAN.

Quite a few probably game. Throw a LAN.
Zizzle manufactures pinball machines. Last FACTORY, maybe. Last pinball maker??? No way. *Goes to play on his PotC pinball*
...was a very enjoyable movie. I look forward to seeing "The Hobbitt" done in his style!
Umm? What? The battery on my 286 motherboard is hard-soldered in. Off my lawn!

two are alternate installs for x86/x64 and the other two are desktop installs for x86 and x64.

Who says *I* need to wait? You think I bother with DRM anything? Nope.
