    Umm, you apparently don't know much about "Compact discs" as many such discs HAVE DRM (Sony rootkit, anyone?) Look really closely at that album you're about to buy. Does the case have the SANCTIONED Compact Disc logo on the packaging? No? That's because any CD with any sort of DRM or modification (bonus data tracks) violates the Compact Disc Format, and is not allowed to carry that branding.

    In other words, if you don't see the sanctioned logo on front or back of the case on the actual paper inserts, odds are you have a DRM-laden disc.

    They're still stupid. Their hardware is severely underpowered for what they're trying to do (almost akin to ISP overselling bandwidth, except in this case it's CPU resources for simulations instead of bandwidth for network conenctions.)

    I really doubt they're going to learn any time soon. Even though I enjoy the simulations, they're shooting themselves in the foot. Some of my fave sims can't stay up because it's running on an underpowered server, on top of running sims on the same machine.

    Well, the moment AT&T shows they can control what goes over their networks, adios common carrier status, hello whole new world of rules and regulations.

    To do this would be akin to pointing a .50 caliber at your big toe and pulling the trigger. Even though you aim at the toe, the impact alone is likely to rip your leg off at the knee and make cartilage explode.

    Last I checked and tested the longest a *COMPLIANT AND CERTIFIED* HDMI cable could go was 40 feet. Anything further without increasing the thickness of the wires caused massive problems, and that's across HDMI 1.2 and 1.3 spec.

    So where the fuck did you buy your 50 foot cable?

    Solar will eventually be as efficient. Nanosolar is working on a way to literally just PRINT out solar cells. If not as efficient, it's so easily and cheaply made that it would be ubiquitous in a very short time (even Google has dropped some serious cash on this company, so it's well worth looking into.)

    BTW, to those who've been modded up, I have a tank of helium sitting in my room. It's used for party balloons. I pick up the tank, I shake it, I hear liquid sloshing around inside. The ambient room temp around the tank is 70 degrees Fahrenheit. What was that about helium only being a liquid at 4-5 Kelvin, again?

    Umm, once you compress helium, like mentioned, it becomes a LIQUID. Show one one liquid on this planet that is lighter than air - oops, that's not exactly possible, is it? release the compressed helium = inflated dirgible and floating. Compress the helium = it turns into a liquid and is essentially a deadweight.

    Control might be an issue, but that's where DARPA's helicopter-hybrid design comes into play.

    The problems are starting to get solutions. Don't knock it until you've personally tried it and seen it fail, otherwise you're nothing more than an armchair geek.

    And I've flown planes and helicopters. They are not without their problems, and in fact share many of the SAME ISSUES as zeppelins do.
