    I can't believe that an insightful idea like "locally transmitted silence flag" gets modded the same score as "they should make you check your cell phone at the door".

    I for one welcome our new cell phone silencing overlords.

    Ofcourse it will go up, as long as the bubble lasts. if you look at the income and divide by market value you get a quite low revenue for each share and compare it to other companies that are not part of the bubble to see what are normal things. (My try at simplifying the explanation)

    Regardless of how much firmer the the base is this time, the earnings and earnings prospects are both so very low compared to stock value. So at some point in future there WILL be a correction.

    I predict that the stock will up and down from here. Where's my prize?

    Google is currently trading at 96.20 P/E, which is insane. It's in for a correction.

    If you consider how fast profits are increasing, a 96 P/E to trailing earnings is not that unreasonable. Looking at next years projected earnings, their P/E is less than 49 http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=goog

    What people think they'll earn in the future has more influence than what they earned last year.

    I would love to see this cleared up. I am told that people don't normally leave a browser open for any extended period of time, but i do - and have to restart FF every 3 days or so.

    I blame Microsoft for creating an OS that is now stable for days and even weeks at a time.

    There are certainly reasons to discount Take-Two.
    So if anything, the sex scene controversy might give future "Grand Theft Auto" titles even more buzz.

    ...but unfortunately it lead to a loss of $28.8 million dollars this quarter with lowered guidance going forward. IMHO hot-coffee DID reduce revenue and i don't think that calling it 'future buzz' puts it in a better light.

    There is obviously something to be said about teaching someone near your level vs. teaching someone far below you. In one case, you are mentoring or collaborating, which I see as easier to do.

    I don't see a corelation between being very good at something, and teaching it to someone who knows nothing about it.

    How often have you come up against the self-proclaimed "guru" at a software firm who likes to wield power by deliberately withholding his knowledge?

    I've not found a great programmer that was not generous in explaining technique and knowledge. I've certainly found self-proclaimed greatness is most likely misguided... and people who are not as good as they, or other people believe them to be, will often try to hide their lack of deep understanding.

    As cuckoo as it sounds, I believe that a great programmer needs to be humble enough to listen to the code and design it how it wants to be... maybe humility is inherent to a great designer?

    This is elementary marketing, you _must_ have run into it before. When touting your own product you want to make it seem as cheap as possible, so you pick how much it costs (or how much you think it will cost) add a tiny increment, and say it costs less than that.

    In marketing 102 they teach you a trick to make consumers think they are getting a deal... claim that it could be as expensive as x but you can get it for cheaper. It's pretty common in retail clothing. I'll predict a price of $300-$349... which seems like a deal compared to $450

    I looked into getting an N-Gage 3 months ago when my old cell phone contract ran out... but a little research into available games showed that there was only a few available games, and i couldn't find prices or anywhere to buy them. As i Froogle now, there appear to be more places to buy... Maybe i'll check it out in 9 months ( when my current contract expires).
