    be it a gamma ray burst, meteor/comet collision or a volcano eruption big enough to destroy the environment, if any of the above happens it is much to big for humans to control and it would doom humanity to extinction...

    it was not my intent to be a troll, i used to work on oil drilling rigs in west Texas in the 1980's and seen a few blowouts firsthand, so i know mother nature is not something to take lightly...

    i tend to believe that if anything bad happens it could be a global catastrophe, at the very least they pollute the ocean where they are drilling this hole, do these so-called scientists think they can experiment on the earth at such a grand scale without any bad repercussions? think of the fish, the earth's food supply is overtaxed enough as it is...

    people like my stupid brother will just run as root 100% of the time...

    i explained to him that if he can install software that makes system wide changes then malware and viruses can too, he is either too lazy or does not want to be bothered with the inconvienence of typeing in a password to install software and just wants a point & click instant gratification desktop environment...
