I'm not saying I would every pay the brand name tax for monster cables, but I would at least hope there is a purity difference and better sheathing / shielding on the monster cables. Copper may be copper, but 90% pure copper is different that 75% pure copper. As a disclaimer I should state I have no clue how pure the cables are, and how much difference purity would make in that application.

After 90 days, I will get between a 5 and 8% raise at my new job, then another raise at the end of the year, so I can make the 11.6% mark. Course I work for a forbes top 100 company, and to balance it out, I'm salary, so no OT, and they started me out about as low as you can go for the position. I think the big thing TFA missed is that many get a high percentage raise, but the jobs are so low paying to begin with that it doesn't put them where they need / want to be anyway. Just last year I was making 30k a year as the systems / network / security / phone admin for a bank. I got a 9% raise, or about a dollar an hour, still didn't put me near what should be paid for that type of skillset.

as far as dropping the case, I think he could have fought harder, but when it comes to family, it's a tough call. Personally I would have fought on, and just played some of the same delaying tactics the DA would use to keep dad from missing his trip, etc. I shop at sam's, and when there's a long line to get out the door, and 1 60 year old blind woman taking her time to check reciepts, I walk around. I've been chased down once, and complied while on the walk, but I refuse to waste my time after I've made my purchase. As far as CC goes, that would be an interesting case, because like florida police, I carry a taser, and would use it if I am being illegally detained.

I've been missing out on the military channel just because I don't want to pay for all the digital tiers, and I can only take so much fox news and espn. As far as pricing and everyone that says this wouldn't work because of the demands ESPN puts on the cable companies, I'm thinking espn would change thier tune when the people that pay them for advertising bailed due to dropped subscribers. It would be a long painfull process, but any type of major change is. I think more good than bad would happen, just might need a government subsidy (i know i can't spell) for the small channels.

One of the most famous scenes in the film shows the bus jumping across a gap in an elevated freeway-to-freeway ramp while still under construction. Both sides of the gap are at identical heights, making it impossible that the jump would work in real life. I've seen the movie plenty of times, and while I'll admit my memory isn't the greatest, I would swear that the gap was not level, and the section they landed on was lower. But my opinion doesn't count, one of my favorite things to do in movies is spot where physics went out the window, or the wrong techno-babble was used. Watched T3 again last night (yes i have too much free time), and bust out laughing when they talked about skynet spreading into all the computers around the world, there's no way to stop it... then all the nukes go off. Would love to see how they explain skynet surviving all the emp's, downed networks, loss of power, and getting the computational power it needs to survive / evolve from my mom's old celeron with 128 ram, and the like.
