I'd assume that they are more likely to purchase petroleum jelly and Doritos too... where are the corporations that benefit from these types of people? Surely someone is making money from this target market.
"While 15 states require companies to tell consumers if their data has been compromised..." This is only true if the data lost/compromised is plain text data. Any company in any state can lose all their information with out having to report a thing, if the information is encrypted. So while we honestly think we're seeing a decline in lost/compromised/stolen information, we're actually just not hearing about it as much anymore. Oh, I feel safer already!
The whole thing is one big joke, but only the owners of big business are laughing.
A couple of things worth noting:
1) How many times does CNET produce bogus BS reports? and how many times are you going to listen?
2) Just look at David Carnoy... do you really think someone like that can possibly have a valid gaming opinion?
My conclusion:
Consoles are great but PC gaming will never die.
Firstly, isn't trust just another label for apathy? And secondly, if one increases the level of apathy, wouldn't they invest similarly?
Just a note from someone who doesn't care

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's already a game very similar to the features you want... its called Splinter Cell.
