I did what you did, but dropped the text portion to save another $10/mo. I send/receive texts with Google Voice instead. I get frustrated with T-Mobile's service but I am happy they give me the freedom to customize my plan and offer a no-contract option.
I even got the phone at the subsidized price. But I canceled my contract after a few days and switched to a no-contract plan. I believe I ended up paying two activation fees. Google was supposed to bill me for the difference between subsidized and un-subsidized, but they haven't caught up with me yet.
Web servers are still alive, but the game I was playing has been frozen in mid-hand now for about an hour. Looks like all the games on the whole server are frozen.
I'm wondering if the (sit-n-go) tournament will be canceled and money refunded, or will just resume play even though it is likely many of the players will have given up waiting...

I've been making mp3 files for a long time, and with the help of r3mix I feel comfortable knowing the right options to feed lame to produce high quailty mp3 files. This has evolved into simply passing "--r3mix" to lame.
Now I'm thinking about giving ogg a spin but I feel like I'm back where I was when I started making mp3 files.
What encoder to use? What options to use?
Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Considering GPS is a receive-only system, saying something can be "tracked by GPS" doesn't make much sense. The GPS satellites transmit accurate time and orbital status information that receivers use to calculate your position. This device is being called a "transceiver," so one could assume that it has a GPS receiver to figure out where it is, and a transmitter to broadcast that position to anyone who cares to listen. Of course, to locate the device, a second GPS receiver would be needed to get a bearing from where you are to where the device is.
The satellites have a limited lifespan, and the current system is likely to be replaced with newer, better, incompatible systems. "Planned obsolescence" and "implant" a bad combination make. -- Why Ah Must Scribble GNU
When I use the back button in Netscape, I'm almost always taken to the same randomly chosen spot near the top of the previous page, most certainly not the place I was when I clicked on a link.
This makes keeping track of where you've been reading here a real challenge, and is a big nuisance in general.

A dead person doesn't know the answer, he merely has stopped asking the question.
No year is going to make that statement be accurate or make any sense -- a total population of 235 and some are computer literate?
6 is an upside down 9 and I thought it looked good.
From the 4th video, about 55 seconds in, Jobs says:
"... of the 235 people in America, only a fraction know how to use a computer."

Disable "Verbose startup messaging" in the options and it starts up (and quits) much faster.

Go over your allotted data and you're looking at $0.03/KB. If you are able to get that 57.6 Kbps out of this modem, that's about 7KB/s, or $0.21/s.

Of course, to locate the device, a second GPS receiver would be needed to get a bearing from where you are to where the device is.
Anyway, this is just quibbling over semantics, and this device may be made moot in a few years, what with Congress eliminating funding for a civilian GPS.
