Absolutely nothing. In no way has anyone been making baseless, unfounded jokes about Apple user's sexual orientation behind their backs. That's a vicious rumour. You're being paranoid.
Android is scaring the crap out of him If I was running Apple, it would terrify me. Of course, with hundreds of millions of dollars in my bank account, I could probably still sleep at night.
Don't reward their behaviour if you disagree with it on principle. Just don't buy one. It's also helpful to tell people why you won't buy one when you have the opportunity.
Actually, they just rejected a reportedly extremely nice iPad application that taught kids how to program, called "Scratch", based on Alan Kay's ideas from ages ago. It looks like a fantastic idea, but aparently violates their terms and condition, as the kids can 'create programs'. They're not really thinking of the children.
Another method of clearing the device of sensitive information is to use the "Office Space" approach. It is also the most gratifying. I highly recommend it if you ever get the opportunity.
I'm pretty sure the law applies to this the same way it does to game consoles. People have been arrested for modding consoles, although I think iyt's generally been when it was done commercially.
I keep seeing Apple in schools the way MS used to be. I think the current crop's future may be even worse than the last one for being able to deal with problem solving at any level. Good for Apple for making things easy, but bad for learning. With the lock-down mindset that appears to be coming, it's becoming less relevant anyway.
Could it be that there's not as many young coders that have the skills required? We've been trying for years to dumb down development and this may be part of the result. Perhaps if the kernel was written in PHP and javascript...
I think the title is actually "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate", the Worms' second best song (IMHO) next to "Carrot Juice is Murder", the best anti-vegetarian song around.
Those minor religions are the Chromes and Safaris of the religious spectrum ... in more ways than one too, I think.
Don't give them any ideas.

They did seem to exercise constraint .. it's not a pig suit.
Only one thing to cool now ...

With the level the fanboyism is getting to these days, they better start removing the moisture detectors or making them 'water'-proof.

RDF exposure ... give the man a break.

Wow, I sound like a cranky old man.
Toxic chemicals leaching into the groundwater would go a long way towards explaining some of the things that go on in DC.
My mother says I'm special.
I believe open source is a good model for software. I'd much rather buy software and services from someone who believes the same.
You're absolutely right. They'll just take it and return it at their leisure. This is what they do (or at least did) with laptops.
Well, now they're insisting on controlling the developer experience as well.
Buying software from IBM just encourages them to write more.
Perhaps a better article title would be "How Meetings and those Who Like them are Killing Productivity".
There are better tools than meetings to do 1, and maybe even 2.

HTML5 video is already hampered by competing standards
I disagree ... I think HTML5 video is being hampered by software patents, not competing standards.
Actually, I was taught in school that Xinu is not Unix.
