But I made the fatal mistake of putting it into landscape to get a better keyboard, and it brought my phone (Desire) to a crawl. I assume it was trying to rebuild the page layout, something bad happened and displayed a black page.
It Shows promise, it is not usable (obviously) but the UI design seems better than the inbuilt browser. With tabs off screen to the left, and navigation buttons off screen to the right.
Would of been nice to see pinch zoom working, and I am assume that it will (or a custom build that will). From what I have seen, when it heads into a more stable phase, I would probably swap right away.
I didn't think about writing a C# app to do it. Could prob write it, and offer it as a free download on a blog, and quickly score up 10's of thousands of downloads.
I do agree that is a feature sorely lacking.
I add steam as a scheduled task to start up in the off peak times. Before I go to bed, unpause the download, and close steam. Wait for the scheduled task to start it back up for me.
But solar power, comes from the Sun, which is a fusion reactor. Which converts mass to energy. So algae in a very indirect way. Is converting mass to electrons. The same of course, can be said for fossil fuels. But I am just being overly fussy.
Have you played Forza3 with the 360 wheel? As the wheel was designed in conjunction with Forza2 and always felt the integration is very tight and good. The amount of feel you receive through the force feedback is fantastic. You know exactly what the front of the car is doing.
If you took at any recent AAA title game, marketing and distribution costs are huge. Apparently the marketing budget for COD:MW2 was $200 million (although that probably includes distribution costs) with development $40-50 million. According to http://www.thatvideogameblog.com/2009/11/19/modern-warfare-2s-development-budget-40-50-million/
Halo 3's was $40 million+ of marketing, similar to dev cost. GTAIV would of had similar if not more, being a multi platform title. Although wiki says the development of GTAIV was estimated to cost near $100.
A friend of mine from THQ complained that De Blob sold really well, then they blew the equivalent of profits on the marketing campaign for japan, and the game flopped there.

New Scientist ran a really good article on this, a couple of months ago. It can be found here:
http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg20427311.300-timewarp-how-your-brain-creates-the-fourth-dimension.html A 2006 experiment has put the rate of human vision at about 13 fps. People can see the wagon wheel effect in real life, without the aid of Strobing lights, television etc. After I read this article I did manage to observe this effect outside in sunlight, while travelling parallel to a car travelling at about 50km/h. Very surreal
I think this is just a weird cultural reason, was driven by Tea. So this is my quirky take for 230. 110v * 15amp = 1650watts. 230v * 13amp = 2990watts. I know that isn't doing the RMS of 2 by the voltage or whatever you need to do for AC. But the most popular electric kettles, for boiling water for our cups of tea are in the order of 3kw and have been for many many years.
I believe that is why tea is still quite prevalent in the U.K over coffee, due to that you can't leave Tea on a heating element for too long like you can with coffee (in a coffee maker), else tea begins to stew.
A lot of people reckon its partially pushed by Senator Conroy for getting back at iiNet for them publicly opposing his Net filter plans, see ye olde slashdot article here: http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/11/11/1329222
You obviously havn't seen the Acabion GTBO, the "Certified Successor Of Cars". Be wary of its official site, it's flash driven and the flash informatively let me know it downloaded a very liberal 55mb!?!?! Now that is not a motorcycle, that is a "Certified Suicide booth".
From the article it sounds like they are implementing something like what the British government did with BT, that the 2 firms cannot give each other preferential treatment, or special rates. To encourage competetion.
A 32bit application can get upto 3gb of ram on a 32bit Windows, by being compiled with the/LARGEADDRESSAWARE:Yes Linker flag, and have the end user tweak his boot options to use the/3gb switch. But this is a huge hack, and can still cause issues with drivers etc still believing that the kernel has reserved half the ram, but is instead restricted to the top 1gb.
Games like Counter-Strike and other multiplayer games work because the amount of work and data is split between client and server.
That is not the only reason counter strike (and Half-Life 1 in general) gained so much popularity. The server would record that last second or 2 of the game and when it received that you had fired a gun, it would retrospectively fire it from how you would of seen the game 250ms ago (or however long your current ping is). This led to the game feeling a lot more responsive to players, but also led to the "wtf how did he kill me when I ducked behind that wall?", well when he fired he could still see you.
That's exactly the point, the U.K cannot grow enough food organically to sustain itself, there just is not the agriculturable area to do it. So it would have to import more food from overseas, so not only does it destroy UK biodiversity but the diversity of other nations instead. It would be better to to more intensive farming on smaller areas and return other areas back to their natural state.
Agreed, all the older characters do is give you more variety, you can be just as effective in a new character after a few months in the same ship as my 2003 character, just I have a lot more choices.
I was going to make a post saying exactly the same thing. Motorbikes are awesome especially if you can find a friendly social bike group, I was to hang out with Canberra Riders when I was living there. There could be something similar in your area.
If I had mod points, I would mod this up. So much rides on the shoulders of good management to allow the developers to do their job, and stop the shit filtering down from the higher ups, they also need to learn to say NO to feature creep, or feature swapping so "Yes I can do X, but to do it in time and on budget you can't have Y or Z so you choose.". Crap management just drags everyone and the project down.
I am very extremely inclined to agree with you, my brother is partially color blind (I am not sure to what extent as it has never been bad enough to ask about) and he is a qualified electrician and for him its just a mild inconvenience. My mum had a stroke about 15 years ago and lost all control and sensation of her right arm, and a significant amount from her right leg, but has enough control to still walk with a stick. Now my brother lives a normal life, living a normal job, with 2 kids, 2 cars, a wife and a house. Who occasionally has difficulty telling the difference between 2 different coloured wires. My mum has had to change the way she does things for every part of her life, from getting out of bed, having a shower, to cooking and eating her meals, to driving a car. So to all the parents of this post who say some lame shit like "Tell that to my boss who is colour blind" well I will fucking tell him! It is pale in comparison to what my mum has to deal with, which is a mild disability to a lot of other disabled people.

If they used a phone with a qwerty keyboard, couldn't you just get a bluetooth keyboard, connect that to a compatible phone and type the txt on that?

I have never actually read that, was a good read. Thank you Mr. Vage

Personally I prefer to call them blactivision

remember that Left 4 Dead that made by Turtle Rock Studios or now Valve South. Valve North have been quite quiet, apart from the TF2 updates.
