I'm sure "Fiscal Conservatives" would be literally pouring out of the woodwork, offering to give them a few billion dollars for a bailout.
This is some of the worst garbage I have ever read here. First of all, no "fiscal conservative" would ever offer to "bail out" a company with the government. I do not believe that there are any politicians in existence (at least at the federal level" that are even close to fiscally conservative!
Funny, I run this stuff on a $999 PC and it runs great. As a matter of fact, the video editing runs faster than my neighbor's $2500 mac. The rendering engines are faster, the video is faster, and Photoshop is faster too. In fact, with 4g of memory (on my $999 PC) it is a lot faster!
Linux On The Desktop? When did that happen? I am still trying to get linux to work as a M$ replacement and it still isn't even close to as easy to setup and use. Just try installing Flash to work in the browser. On the desktop means user friendly, which it still is not.
Your post is right on the money. This is why I do not own an ipod, xbox, ps3, or tivo. I do have a generic MP3 player that plays non-drm content (audio and video). I rent movies from my cable company which guarantees them for 24 hours and does require any "annual subscriptions".
A company I used to work for would specially format media so that it could not be tampered with. The format itself would prevent a virus from entering the computer because of special windows driver and the format itself was done on special hardware (firmware or software alone could not provide the format). This ensures security. One would think that the USB drive would also be formatted special to prevent attacks. Some companies just fall short when maximizing security.
Where are you buying your flash drives. Newegg.com has 17 models of 8 GB for under $25. Some even under $20. That is retail. In my book that is $3.14 per GB.
Blu-ray just doesn't bring my money's worth to the table. I have been watching DVDs on my HD TV and find that they are very good quality, in fact most look great. For the money they want for the player and discs, I just cannot justify the expense. I will not buy anything Blu-ray until I have no other option. Besides, my cable company offers HD movies on demand so there is just one more reason not to invest in Blu-ray.
Agreed. This guy is an idiot. There is one and only one reason why broadband in the U.S. hasn't and probably won't catch up for a while. All of the technology used in the "more advanced broadband system" was developed in the U.S. They went from crap, to the most current technology. The companies in the U.S. have to make the profits off of each system they deploy before they can afford to advance the system. Other countries had no infrastructure or, a very very outdated one, so they could just employ a more modern one that the U.S. The cost of upgrading infrastructures is very high so you just don't do it that often. There will be a time when the U.S. will totally leapfrog the rest of the world because the time will come to make the next advancement. The reason is purely economic, or, do you want to pay about 10 times as much for the current system to fund the next one?
Not really. The commercials are actually quite true. I know at least a dozen consumers that have experienced at least one of the problems with their PC that the commercials depict. Having said that, Apples are grossly overprices really neat things that the average consumer cannot really afford (software is pricey too) and the PC is still the winner when it comes to how much you can do with it for the price.
I trust no one that stands to make a huge profit from a single sale. Most are cut and run types that do not rely on repeat business. 6% is way too high a price to be paying to sell you home.
Wii is a consumer product. Gran Turismo is not. The hard core gamer is a small, tiny, largely insignificant number of the consumer market. Sort of like grouping Porsche owners as a significant portion of the car buying market.
Have you seen the price of gas recently. Those environmentalist wackos have pushed the liberal government to intervene in our oil production, making us too dependent on foreign oil and, do not allow new refineries to be built, which allows prices to rise uncontrollably.
Sprint, for one, offers unlimited text, voice, data, etc. for less than $100 a month - so I don't see the "squeeze" you are referring to.
You, my friend, have no concept of your expenses and how much you waste. I pay $100 for 4 phones with voice mail and all of the fancy features. I get 1000 minutes a month anywhere in the US and unlimited to any T-mobile phones. They want to charge me $0.15 per message that I receive. I have no control over anyone sening me messages so I, as a customer, am screwed. I don't even want this service and am forced to pay for it anyway. They will not turn it off.
This is highway robbery and is wrong! How do we stop this?

You can take your cycle for New York to L.A. I will fly. See who get there first and at what cost?
I have been extremely close to being a billionaire for about 30 years now.
I guess that isn't real news either?
Since the Prius cost more to drive and it takes more energy to manufacture than a Hummer, why would you want one.
Oh, to make it look like you a tree hugger and to make yourself feel like you have done something good.
Oops, sorry to burst your bubble.

That is why I always early vote. It is on paper where I vote and that stands a better chance of getting counted correctly.

All of the games look like cheezy anime. I am not impressed or amused. This just looks like another hand held disappointment.
An electoral college that doesn't represent the popular vote is little better than establishing a monarchy by divine providence.
Then go and start your own country. This is the way this country was founded and those of us that understand that are good with it!
Anyone who does really care about this, really does need to get a life.
Shot with an iphone.
The truth be told, the company was failing and he wanted to save is ass. The bottom line is still the influx of cash.

I give it a week. What an idiot!
That is called extortion. Why should I be forced to pay another $60 a year for something I do not want?

Highly unlikely that Arabic will ever be supported. There are only 37 men who can afford to by a razor, let alone an ipod.
