Ditto. I've never even seen any of the AvP series, and I'm a HUGE Alien fan (even own the Quadrilogy box set, still IMHO the greatest DVD boxset of all time)
IIRC, the original Alien showed the alien pilot's corpse. He looked like a kind of humanoid elephant. It's unclear if they had created the bad aliens, or just encountered them.
For God's sake man, you're pushing her plastic surgeon too far! Anything more will be an affront to God and push human skin well beyond the rules of both general relativity and quantum physics!
Even more bizarre is the Dreyer's/Edy's situation. On the east coast, it's called Edy's. On the west coast, it's Dreyer's. This in spite of the fact that they're the same company, with the same ice cream and same packaging (except for the name). There are a lot of companies like this. I know of one company who markets the same food product under no less than six different brand names (each differing by CITY, not even by state). Go figure.
The solution is simple--more European developers. Personally, I would love to see more Western developers. Two out of the three consoles are dominated by Japanese developers. The fewer annoying androgynous heroes with bad hair and cutesy Pokemon type games, the better. "Sacred 2" is an excellent game that just came out of Germany, and I wouldn't mind seeing more titles like it.
Radioshack has spent the last 20-30 years attempting to rebrand itself from a store that carries one-of-a-kind electrical components and equipment to a store that carries 2nd-rate, overpriced versions of the stuff everyone else carries (cellphones, computers, really awful audio equipment, non-educational toys, etc.). It's all part of their master plan to turn themselves into a store with no apparent reason to exist.
When you get used to something, it's natural for you to feel the most comfortable with it. The modest approach to that is to say "I have gotten used to it and so I prefer it." The geek-slashdot way to approach it is to say "The keyboard and mouse are superior to all other controllers and everyone who disagrees with me is a fucking stupid heathen infidel!"
The no-brainer to me is that this whole thing was a setup by the MPAA/RIAA. This is EXACTLY the sort of thing that let's them go to Congress and say "See, P2P supports T E R O R R I S M !!!" I bet one of their shills is the one who uploaded these files (what pirate would upload something like that to Limewire, instead of movies and music?).
My experience with the "quality of information" at most indie stores has been some half-stoned cocky hippy working behind the counter who wants to talk for 20 minutes about the latest crappy college bands when I'm there to buy heavy metal. They're almost as bad as videogame stores.
I use my netbook for a lot more than just surfing the internet. My Asus EEE will do about everything a full-powered laptop would do about 4-5 years back. I've watched videos, ran all kinds of software on it, videoconferenced with it, etc. The only things it CAN'T handle do are modern gaming and HD video (it will play HD video, but it stutters). Not bad for a book-sized computer that costs $250 (and now comes with a 160GB hard drive and 1 GB of memory).
What a funny world we live in where a guy who was raised by his white mother and white grandparents in a tony Hawaiian neighborhood, who is in no way descended from anyone ever enslaved or oppressed, could be considered some oppressed minority in need of special favoritism. This guy probably didn't even meet an actual black person until he went to college, yet now he's being treated as some sort of black messiah.
Don't EVEN compared Wargames to Tron! Yes, there were a some exaggerated elements to Wargames, but on the whole it was remarkably accurate in portraying hacker culture and the tricks of the hacker/phreaker trade (so powerful that it even inspired the popular terms "War-dialing," and later "War-driving," among phreakers). Tron, by contrast, was nothing but pure fantasy--a flimsy excuse of a plot designed to service some whiz-bang new CGI.
I wonder how many of the 1.3 million OLPC's sold actually ended up in the hands of kids, and not sold by the kid's family or some corrupt official before they even got that far.
The mortality rate of humans is 100%.

I hope he's had his vaccinations and a flea bath too.
"Forever" is exactly how long it will be before I buy it in the first place.
He's on vacation with Amy Winehouse. He thinks he's only been there for 4 days.

That'll teach you to charge me $40 for roaming last month when I never left the city, motherfuckers!
Tommorrow's headline: "Gangsters Ban Games That Glorify Oppressive Totalitarian Regimes."
Don't try that on a PvP server, bucko!
Does making your point require you to use offensive terms like "retarded," or do you think it's acceptable to show your bigotry against the disabled?
I can assure you that my upbringing was WAY less "sheltered and privileged" than Obama's.

I think you may need a vacation.

I guess the Scientologists are hitting back, since their usual tactics of "sue and intimidate" don't seem to be working.
Of course. This place is so welcoming that Africans used to come over here by the boatload.
