I think the implication is BSG was that the Colonials had become sloppy and complacent in the decades following the war. They had put so much faith in their defense net system and other networked systems that it never occurred to anyone that these could be compromised. By the time they realized the Cylons had pwned all their systems, their communications systems were completely shut down too. It was only Adama's eccentricity (in not allowing networked systems on Galactica) and dumb luck (The Pegasus being in dry dock for an overhaul, with most of its systems shut down) that saved two Battlestars.
with all the cheezy, unimaginative, and downright obnoxious ploys Best Buy has implemented in the last few years,
How about the fact that every time I go in that store, there seem to be about 15 employees standing around the service desk bullshitting around doing nothing (and even more wandering around the store doing nothing), all while I have to stand in line forever at the ONE REGISTER that's open?
Anyone else here old enough to remember the panic when an urban legend spread that McDonalds was using ground earthworms in their burgers?
Well, multiply that by a hundred and guess why no food company or restaurant in their right mind is going to be jumping on this bandwagon anytime soon.
Man, no offense, but you REALLY need to lay off the Kool-Aid. Steve has been dead for a while. Makes me wonder how long it will take the reality distortion field to finally fade.
They're a corporation. Their goal is to make money. They're not your friend, nor your daddy. And they are MOST CERTAINLY not a civil rights cause that needs your defense. They make products, not dreams.
Yeah, there is no fucking way you're getting that much power out of existing solar tech. I'm embarrassed I had to scroll down this far on/. to see someone questioning those laughable numbers. They've got to be off by several orders of magnitude.
Wish I had mod points for you. I had a similar experience when I looked into it. The numbers just didn't add up and the upfront cost is crazy. If you could get solar panel costs down to about 10% of where they are now. you could get some traction. But right now, it's just too much for most of us.
Call all your critics liars (and wife-beaters and child molesters if possible), send private detectives and Sea Org types to follow and harass them, sue them and anyone who supports them, cry religious persecution to the cops and govt officials, rinse, wash, repeat...
Feeling down?
No help around?
Burma Shave
I said "The corner of VINE" not "PINE," you dumb bitch!

It's the bass that really pisses me off. It's like legalized assault on my ears.
Love.
I bet you're a blast at company parties.
They seem to be the only ones capable of doing anything anymore. May as well let them do that too.
Oh fucking Christ. This is what happens when you let them have the internet on the commune. And you wonder why people vote Republican.
I'm raising little Joey here on a vegan macrobiotic diet. Did I also mention he has autism, peanut allergies, and fibromyalgia?
Of course.

Obviously, you haven't accepted the new paradigm.
There, I've just summed up every Batman movie ever.
Beware of hucksters selling a system that will give you everything you dream of, and fast and cheap to boot.
And be even more wary of those who promise a way to outsource everything on the cheap without taking any hit on quality.
There is no secret formula. It takes hard work, time, and skill to produce quality work. That's the only trick.
Now I'm NEVER going to get to see The Dark Knight Rises.
They've done it before. They were pretty successful, too.
How soon we nerds forget Scientology's war against the internet back in the day.

Read all about it, and more.
You're holding it wrong.
They'll just extradite everyone who violates it to the U.S. for prosecution.
I can't figure out how the Congress has power to regulate private businesses and impose the ADA.
The same way they can tell you that you can't advertise an apartment for rent with "Whites only" in the ad.
