    Some people are just stupid? Kind of like people who believe some money hungry dick in the 1800's actually found some gold plates with writing on them? (of course you needed special optics to read them).     The prices they charge for common cables is astronomical. When I see some poor unsuspecting person wander in and ask for something, it's usually for something they are going to end up paying $50+ for, when it should be 20 tops. To me this seems to be their only repeat customers. Old people, who want things handed to them without them knowing anything about it. I also remember back in late 04 wandering into one needing a DVI = VGA adapter, figuring they would be the place that would definitely have them... Nope.

    this was all done on a desktop. So no. I'd be cool with the 180 for the OS, if the other charges weren't ridiculous. -- These are the same people who blamed the power supply when I was in iraq (one of my really good ones) and then made off with said power supply.

    I Moved to LA, so my parents called the local "Nerds on Call" for computer help. I looked over the invoice when I was visiting recently. These fucks charged 20 bucks for a fan, 20 bucks for a fan install, 50 bucks for a hard drive install (Just labor, no parts) and $180 for OS reinstall.

    you're thinking to long term. The people behind these taxes are thinking about the budget RIGHT NOW and, rightfully so. Also fat people/smokers have more health complications, I know because most my family is both. And any time obese people need surgery etc, it's a lot more complicated
