    First thing I Do when I buy a laptop (Build my own desktops) is clean install of my choosing (usually a pirated mod of windows of some sort, so I expect to get modded down heavily). The question is, does anyone think the money they get for all that crap, leads to cheaper computers??

    because labels are oh so important, and vital to life, I've always put forth that nerds are into computers, anything tech, education of all sorts, math, science etc. whereas geeks are into D&D, star trek, Monty Python, etc. obviously a lot of people are both, to varying degrees. Personally im about 95% nerd, 5% geek. Welcome any input on this hypothesis.

    I actually was a SATA "early adopter" back in early 2004 when I bought a computer. Had taken a "computer sabbatical" for several years in hawaii and was just purchasing a new one finally. Configured it without a floppy disk, which I was glad to never have to use again. Then a few months later when good ole' Windows XP takes a crap on me, I goto reinstall it, and XP requires a floppy drive to install the drivers for my sata drive... No thumb drive, burnt CD, nothing else, just a fucking floppy which I purposely left off my system build. f micorosft. fml

    if you don't care why use it? if you do use it, you're (admittedly) making it worse by having a bunch of people as friends who you don't want. If someone sends me a friend request, and I don't think they'll make my time on facebook better, or I don't care to talk to them, I deny that shit quick. . every couple weeks I go through my friends list and delete people I think are cluttering shit up for me. Facebook won't burn out like myspace. If you can't figure out why, not worth explaining either. The simple answer is there was a better alternative for people to keep in touch easily. There is no such thing currently ala Facebook.

    Chick I went to high school with, now Mormon. She had some status update about Jesus, referencing him as a man I believe. I just showed her some of my history of world religions chops (recent class I had) and compared and contrasted different religions views on hey sues, and whether he was viewed as a man or a god. . Made it a little humorous. BAM, unfriended. turns out Mormons don't have a sense of humor. .

    I Can't ride the 720 rapid in LA across the main sections of LA without getting the 4G interrupted multiple times. Same thing on the 2 on the backside from Hollywood to UCLA/Westwood. That being said, i'm a few GB shy of 1 TB downloaded in 3 months, and no throttling.
