    That I consider the government of the United States of America supporting a monopolistic empire on intellectual property to be a "manifest injustice".

    That I consider the intimidating tactics of this monopoly, used against those least in a position to defend themselves, with continuingly underhanded, dishonest, and otherwise manipulative tactics in an attempt to create an atmosphere of fear and deceit discouraging of the "theft" of words, of tones, of whispers left upon the wind to be a "manifest injustice".

    That I consider the abidance of our elected officials of this monopoly and it's tactics in the hopes of gaining funding and not risking the ill tide of public support to be a "manifest injustice".

    That I consider the appointment of federal employees and board members with tangible interests in the preservation of these monopolies and their profitability to roles in which they possess a supervisory power or the ability to further these practices and profitability to be a "manifest injustice".

    That I consider the stifling of creative thought and expression and the chilling effect on free speech and free research by means of litigation to be a "manifest injustice".

    That I could continue to write additional entries to this list upwards of twenty pages of considerations and opinions against the stupidity of this entire situation to be a "manifest injustice".

    *The MPAA and the RIAA going "Oh Shit!" when PlaysForSure and WMDRM falls under patent litigation and likely makes them litigants by the same logic that SCO can sue random companies using Linux,
    *The State of Iowa becoming a hero in the 21st century, erecting a giant statue of every AG who helped the motion there and spreading out technical industry aside from being centered mostly in the West Coast and, to a lesser extent, the East Coast. (Sure, that's awesome, but it spreading out would benefit the national economy, even if Silicon Valley isn't the hottest place to say you live in anymore.)

    *You checked out a book on Islamic extremism for your Current Issues class, for a Debate on the issue, or other such academia.

    It's good to know our previous Congress was too busy pissing themselves post-911 to have a clear enough mind to see how freaking WRONG the Patriot Act was, and then kept being embarassed by the stain enough to extend it's duration.

    eDonkey's IP records are useless in any sort of legal action and will be so tainted by random internet traffic such as that generated by SlashDot that I will mock any fool who attempts to use that data in any productive way, targetted advertisement excepted.

    On another note, a patch will be made for eDonkey within the day to allow all three people who still want to use the eDonkey network to do so. If there was some indexing server or such shut down by this, a new one will be emulated, and aforementioned patch will redirect queries to aforementioned emulated server.

    Without saying anything as to the companies who do this, DRM, etc:

    1. It makes everyone get easier and more streamlined access to content by sharing the bandwidth cost across the consumer base; By sacrificing some of your bandwidth, you in turn give whatever big media company is distributing the content less bandwidth needing to be purchased, which results in less overall cost, which results in savings passed to the consumer.
    2. Distributed content distribution platforms such as Bittorrent renders those fiber owners who wish to enforce charge-for-priority services completely fucked. If it's all spread out, communicating peer-to-peer instead of peer-to-hub, it gets harder to identify the company behind the traffic so as to extort them... I'm having a hard time describing it correctly. You get the idea.
