Knee-jerk reactions like 'banning' specific items will never, EVER solve the under-lying problem. Sadly, you obviously think that gun-ownership is the root of all criminal evil in this country, and the cause of such crimes. You, sir, are an idiot.

And whats the under lying problem? Criminalism? Please explain how to solve that. The pragmatic approach is not to rid the world of criminals but to mitigate the damage that they can cause. Making assault weapons less accessible is not a "knee jerk reaction" but common sense. Look at other developed countries.

Unfortunately Bush and the other douchebags let the Brady Bill expire, so here's what we are stuck with.

Uh no, was the other way around. Bush was selectively desclassifying info e.g. cherry picking data and forwarding it to Judith miller from the nyt to make their case for war. The critic (valarie plames husband) disagreed with judith miller, who in hindsight was was just a shill for the bush admin reporting said cherry picked info. BTW, the NYT has since tossed her. Next time, at least try to get the facts right instead of making shit up.

After asking for her supervisor etc... they finally agreed to send me a new one for free. They sent a box and i put my old unit in and fed ex'd it back about a week later i got a brand new unit. The total turnaround time was about 10 days. Haven't had any problems since. Since then i've learned that they extended the warranty to one year (from 3 months). So I have to say that my experience was generally good given the situation. Not sure why they would keep sending refurbs. All I can say is that i just followed their instructions to a tea. Maybe this guy was doing something wrong.

There are always a certain number of people that buy a new PS immediately, but they've never had a console that just flew off the shelves at launch. They're like the locomotive in the industry, take a long time to get moving, but once they are look out. Prices fall, footprint reduces, games come out in droves, sales grow and grow and grow.

Yet, the PS2 initially sold well partly on the basis of the strength of the PlayStation brand and its backward compatibility, selling over 900,000 units in the first weekend in Japan - this is not the same as whats going on now.

unless they screw up the games coming down the pipe in the future, it should be Nintendo's most successful console to date.
I highly doubt the wii, or any console is going to sell better than the first Nintendo system did back in the mid 80's.

If I remember correctly the 360's were selling at a premium on e-bay well into the spring. I think that the point of this article is that we've barely passed X-Mas and the prices are already down around retail, which probably implies low demand. In other words, sony is screwed.

You are completely missing the point, which is that developers who dont know websphere, java, oracle etc... will have to ramp up, good developers or not, if using a specific tech is that important to you, fine, you need to plan for it, and its going to affect the project.

Believe me, theres a lot more to these techs than rendering html to the client. Give me a config error in asp.net, i can probably tell you exactly what it is. Give me a J2EE config error, I'm going to have to research it first.
