The main providers in the Minneapolis area consist of Qwest DSL or Comcast Cable. Comcast of course tacks on an extra fee if you don't subscribe to cable tv as well. I was able to get around that by subscribing to Earthlink Cable broadband. Basically, all the equipment and connections are provided by Comcast, even the bill comes from Comcast (it says Earthlink in the line item), but I pay the same rate as a TV subscriber.
Back when Sierra and Lucasarts were in the adventure game heyday, The computers that ran those games weren't really capable of much more than animated sprites on a static background. Now that computers have evolved to the level of today, we simply expect more out of the experience than watching a little man walk around on the screen.
This is precisely why I almost threw up a little. The greatest and in many ways, superior alternative to exchange, possibly handed over to the one who would love nothing more than to kill or pervert it into oblivion.
I had most of the games that came out for that system. Big yellow cartridges. It was fun until the vastly superior 2600 entered our home, then it laid forgotten in the attic of antiquity.
Get Ready for price hikes. When Comcast took over for Time Warner in the Twin Cities, They wasted no time in doubling DVR fees and raising every other price point they had. It basically drove me to satellite to keep from getting raped.
There is another variation I saw on this while back. Basically, the pressure on the brake was equated to a horizontal VU meter on the back of the car. At the lightest touch, it would show the standard lights, but more lights would be added inward as the pressure increased. A hard stomp would basically create a solid light bar across the back of the vehicle. It was very intuitive and would definitely get my attention.
Incredibly complex? Are you trying to do a custom Gentoo version or something? It's one of the easiest apps I've ever setup. As long as you start from a clean OS install, it pretty much walks you through the whole process.
As far as support, They can't support EVERY distro, so yes, they have certain ones they Officially support. However, many people have been running Zimbra on a variety of "non-supported" OS's and share their experience and knowledge on their forums. I've never seen them get rude with anyone unless the person was being an ass to start with.
As for the abandonment claims, unfounded flaimbait.
Ok, say it did actually explode. I can see having burn marks on the chest and MAYBE a broken/bruised rib, but a shock wave from the explosion traveling through the body cavity and breaking the spine? I'm not a physicist, but that really doesn't seem plausible given the source of the explosion.
What about listening assistant devices currently in use by many theatres? Most of these (including the product manufactured by my employer), operates via an IR transmitter and a reciever on the earphone device worn by the listener. I could imagine it playing havoc with those things.
Remember in Part II when Marty showed a kid in the future how an old Arcade game was played, the kid replied "You mean you have to use your HANDS?". I think this new controller is pushing us closer toward that reality.
When a piece of adware decides to popup an ad isn't the concern of the majority of people, its the fact that it's on the machine in the first place. How it got there should be the focus of legality, not whether it shows an ad for McAfee when visiting Symantecs website.
A lot of small OEM businesses get hurt by the illegit OEM places that sell their Bootleg Copies of XP. Why, because in terms of pricing, Legit cannot compete against illegit. Bob's Puters is bundling a copy of XP with his Custom PC and only needs to add a few bucks, while the Good Guys have to tack on almost a 100.
I used to work in a small OEM shop. We would report these guys every chance we got. They illegit places would either have to fly right or get shut down. Many of them oddly enough chose the latter.
I will build one even Better!!!!

It will have Quad Xeons, A Terrabyte of HDD Space, Hookers, and Beer!
On second thought, forget the Xeons and HDD space.
I currently have firefox blocking all the ads that are displayed on Slashdot. Does anyone here have an objection? Is that violating any sort of slashdot user code of ethics?

...and pull out the magnets. They are incredibly strong and who doesn't like playing with magnets?

Lets see, computer chips that require fuel. Gas is a bit enviro-unfriendly, so, why not alcohol? BENDER IS BORN!
Glad to hear from a fan, I'll be here all week!
"Ding, dong, the witch is dead" was edited out of The Wizard of Oz? I don't get it. Why?
Hillary Clinton got offended.

They clocked it in a good mood, immediately after that it was seen moving along at only 20Ghz, then 200, then 600 again......
