117,500 is a lot of money, they point is that now we have people's attention. If they said here's $1,000, school districts would keep abusing their athority. This makes it so school districts might actually think before acting

I would look at the concept and knwoing it was difficult I migh do something like put oil in the water and ligth the oil, using the scare tactic that I can set ships on fire if they come
And the last time the french had been attacked prior to WW2 was WW1, it was silly to have tanks and stuff, what did they need them for?? Unfortunately, the next country that attaacks the US wont send out invitations first.
what I'm curious about, and I really don't know the answer. If this strain was something my grandfather (for example) had and lived through, wouldnt it make it likely that people that are alive today would be of the strain of people that can survive the virus?
Even worse, the Dr's don't just prescribe meds because they get leaflets, they do because they get a cut of the price of the prescription.
I think a Dr. should be able to prescribe whatever they think is right to help you most, but when they get a cut of the medecine's price, it alters the equation. They start to prescribe stuff to pad their pockets, not to help my, or your, health.

The U.S. is 99% fucking idiots who sit on the couch, watch Survivor, and basically do everything except anything requiring thought or effort, and the 1% people with brains, willpower, and the ability to think for themselves, who employ the other 99%. The sad part is, most of the 99% are perfectly content to be peons and live in subdivisions and suburbs with 1000 other people who have the same house, floor plan, and lot. Pathetic.
HEY! I do not watch Survivor!! I'm not an average idiot you know.
I think all crime should be the death penalty. Speeding - death
hacking - death
robbing thousands of people through corporate fraud - 2 years in federal summer camp
Gotta keep the lower classes in check

I think it's fascinating that 15 years ago, with a much smaller server market that 6 or 8 architectures were commercially viable. Now we have a MUCH larger server market and only 3 or 4 architectures are viable. How does that work?

15% sounds just about right. The norm for most human bahaviour fits into a bell shaped curve. with 15% on either end as extremes. So on the one end 15% cheat, and on the other probably 15% are overly rigid.
What I want to know is, when we have the eugenics wars (as predicted in star trek) are they going to be global, or will they be stopped before that.

That's only a risk to you, to the phone maker it's opportunity. An opportunity to say my phone does more than the next makers. Also it's an opportunity to the phone operators, think of all the test messages you'll be paying for that you didn't mena to send.

K'Breel's opponent A'Ting says in typical liberal form, K'Breel is being to soft on the invaders. Nothing short of the devastation to the 5th planet will be acceptable, after all some could survive the asteroid collision. His quote "enviromental worries about a new asteroid belt blocking 5 to 10% of the sun are vastly over blown".
