Not to troll, but law enforcement agencies are really more interested in convictions than the truth. For instance, Virginia has a law that places a 21-day time limit on new evidence that can be used to exonerate someone wrongly convicted. I'm sure the FBI doesn't want it's coveted CODIS database subject to any doubt.
I hear one definition of insanity is repeating the same action while expecting a different result each time.
Like continuing to watch MTV in the hope that the *next* video won't suck. Next thing you know it's 0300 the next Friday and you're sobbing uncontrollably.
Paint it black, make a giant white-gloved hand reaching out of the ground and tell the neighborhood kids you buried Mickey Mouse in your backyard...fun for the whole family.
True, but bearings and axles do as well as other moving parts. A/C refrigerant contains oils and who knows what's in p/s and brake fluid. Not to mention that most plastics are made with petroleum...
Not having to lubricate an i/c engine and change it every n,000 miles will help a LOT, but for now, we still need oil for other things than just petrol and engine lube.
I hesitate to bring this up here, but while what Lori Drew did was reprehensible, where were the girl's parents?
Drew (46) signed up to MySpace using the fake name "Josh Evans" (though not a real person, so this could technically be considered a pseudonym) to befriend, then harass and "inflict emotional distress (on)" Megan Meier (13). Rude, yes. Unforgivable, yes. Crazy, probably. Illegal, ???
Where were Megan's parents through all this? Why weren't they interacting with her and monitoring her on-line activities. This didn't happen over night. While I grieve for the parents, they were negligent for not supervising Megan and her on-line relationship for "Josh" properly -- especially if there was any indication that Megan was unstable and/or having personal or school problems.
Desalinated seawater from Hawaii, meanwhile, is being sold as "concentrated water" -- at $33.50 for a two-ounce bottle. Like any concentrated beverage, it is supposed to be diluted before drinking, except that in this case, that means adding water to... water.
Over the two-month period prior to their throttling, they had congestion on a whopping 2.6 and 5.2 per cent of their network links.
Geesh. A few well-timed/. articles could beat that. I wonder if we could organize the/. effect to battle Evil? Like a virtual flash mob - dibbs on "/ mob" - and I don't mean Slash Mob though I can see some similarites:
The Slash Mob Project is an interesting phenomenon where people gather at a determined point, kill all surrounding onlookers, and then disperse as fast as arriving, thus leaving the onlookers dazed, bewildered, and hopefully dead by what they just experienced...
Seriously? You must be new here.
True enough. I guess I should have qualified that as "reasonable doubt", which may arise from further research.

LASERS do not belong in cars.
They belong on sharks - get with the program.
Warning sticker: Do not look at windsheild with remaining good eye...
What? No. Should I be? I do like waffles. Nope, I'm just a middle-aged white-boy with a strange sense of humor. (So, um, are Belgian girls hot? ...)
P.S. The Walt Disney Company is evil.
i.e. BSD: Mac OS X is based on the Mach kernel and is derived from the Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD) implementation of Unix in Nextstep.
Sounds like a date I once had...
Looking at the photo I have to ask: are those rubber bands holding down (what looks to be) the data cable on the top if the robotic arm?

Are we talking quantity or quality? Number of different positions?
Excuse me... I'm being told they mean "gender-based" quotas; Never mind.
Although, expensive energy will be better than no energy...

Force her to read ALL the MySpace pages... :-) ]
[Just thinking of that made me ill.
I've been there. Boston, the T, Blue Line. Good chow, nice Aquarium...
(and probably other places)
[ Yes, people really are that stupid. ]
It's interesting that CBS is not listed as a brand. Did Viacom sell CBS or are they being obtuse?
A whole week! Saturday *and* Sunday too? :-)
Whales, however, are extremely annoyed...

Now I'm going to be really suspicious should the next lander actually find Asparagus ...
