I've been using the same setup for the past 4 years: Athlon XP 2500 oc'ed to 3200 speed, a gig of ram, and more than enough HD space. Initially cost me about $700 for the setup. The only thing I've done is buy a new mid-range vid card and another gig of cheap memory. I can play all the games I want, even oblivion, at max or damn near close to max details. Plus I get custom content online for some games, and I do use it for programming and dual boot to linux to get my open source fix. PC's are more extensible plus more flexible than the PS3.

Welllll, a PC is more than games. Web surfing, (gasp!) productivity, and e-mails to mom all included. Ok, ok, the topic is games, so let's talk about that. My machine costs me less than $1000 (ok, I reuse the case and power supply), and I can run games with graphics on par with anything I've seen from the PS3. Plus, I can download user-created content for most of the games I play. You'll have to pay for add-ons for the PS3, and only if its offered.

Your PS3 will not retail for $600 a year from now. What are you smokin?

While I cannot say that bombing the PayPal office is a good way to settle disputes, it still made me smile to read this article as I have recently been subjected to their horrible customer service.

I am a casual ebay user, and probably sell roughly 10 items a year. Since paypal is the defacto standard there, I use them and have it linked to my checking account to transfer payments to myself. Well, I recently sold an old video card for $100 and was paid for it through the paypal service. Now, after hearing about people not being able to transfer their funds etc, I always immediately transfer the $$$ to my checking account. So, I have my $100. 5 days later, paypal sends me a notice saying that the payment might be fraudulent and is being investigated. 2 days later, they say it is indeed fraudulent, and that $100 is being deducted from my paypal account. Great, I already shipped the item, so I call paypal, spend an hour on hold, and finally talk to someone. The only response I get is "sorry, can't do anything about it. Sorry, can't tell you the reason it was fraudulent." Now I already have the money in my checking, so its not like I'm totally screwed, but I can't use my account becuase it has that negative balance on it. Any money into it will automatically go against it. I can't cancel either becuase of it.

They also told me that my item was not valid for seller protectrion because it is an electronic item. Why the hell does it matter what item was sold???? I don't udnerstand why I am responsible for the fraudulent transaction when PayPal deemed this other users account valid and processed the payment in the first place. This is another example of a business who thinks that they can do business without any risk what-so-ever. Just screw the end user.

btw... If anyone has had a similar experience and has some advice as to how I can cancel this account or otherwise solve the problem, please let me know!

We do have WET, its pretty much every other station on TV. Being a white hetero male, I haven't run into any less rights than anyone else I know, minority or otherwise.

Or how about wanting Federal support for Homosexuals, but not wanting Federal Support for Private Educational Institutions that have a faith basis (you pick the religion, Jewish, Muslim, or any other)?

Federal support for a faith based school is seperation of church and state. You want to send your kid to a faith-based school, thats fine pay for it. If they want a free education, go to the religion free publicly funded school. Federal support is not the issue. The issue is acceptance.

More so I would say that those who do sway to the preference of same sex relations and who promote such lifestyles, tend to have more of a bigotry towards those who hold a moral stance to heterosexual relations.

Just plain wrong. You cannot possibly make a correlation about an entire group of people based on your personal beliefs. This is the same as saying all followers of Islam are terrorists. Simply not true. Period.

Same-sex relations leftist. . . . Says they believe in diversity, yet in practice they do not want diversity as much as they want approval/acceptance/recongnition. But in effect this flies in the face of true diversity, because they should be more accepting of someone's opposing beliefs and stance on this very issue, which in practice they are not.

I shouldn't say that you're wrong on this issue, more like uninformed. What you call same-sex relations leftists do believe in diversity, and in order to get there society has to be accepting of those who are different from the "norm." Saying that supporting gay rights is trampling on diversity because it excludes people who oppose gays is ludicris. What we're talking about is having equal rights for all people, and not having something as stupid as boys kissing each other in a video game become a major issue (more of a free speech issue, but I digress). People who want equal rights for homosexuals welcome the opinions of those who don't approve of it. You don't have to like homosexuality, but you have to accept the fact that homosexuals live in your world, and they are human and deserve equal treatment.

I'm sure political left-wingers believe that what the right-wingers have been doing to the US and its governmental policies is evil. However, those right-wingers in power don't think so. How is Google supposed to interpret what is evil and what isn't?

I believe a better motto would be "Always stay neutral." In this case, some smart people have found a way to exploit the system google has put into place. I'm sure Google would prefer that nobody gets google-bombed, and are working hard to improve their algorithm to prevent it.

Manipulating individual page-ranks that are believed to be bombed is a slippery slope that Google doesn't and shouldn't want to go down. Its a PR nightmare waiting to happen.

How long do you think it will be until you are required to fill in your information to play any console game online?

Plus, consoles could track the type of games you play, how often you play, time of day you play... the list goes on. All of this information is gold to an advertising firm who knows how to mine it.

Everything done on the current gen consoles has been done before on the PC, and I don't think its very long until spyware makes it onto them too.

I don't think many cheaters would be able to pass it.

Once that is completed they have to work for 5+ years, take more exams, and then they can be considered a "Professional Engineer."
