I've often though about killing/harming/maiming the bullies that abused me so much as a child and teenager. My parents divorced because my father abused me, but he still had visitation rights for a weekend once a month and he would beat me when I went to see him. I became scared shitless of my father and I would be throwing up before he came to pick me up. I suffer from emetophobia (fear of vomitting). From wiki: "Nearly every emetophobic contracted their phobia as a result of a traumatic incident of vomiting that happened to them between the ages of six and ten."
When eating a meal at my dads place, I was so afraid of vomitting, cause I knew if I did vomit, he would beat me. I would pretty much always vomit and he would beat me, it was a self fulfilling prophecy. I would try so hard to prevent myself from vomitting, that I actually would vomit. I've probably vomitted over 1000 times in my short life.
Originally I was just on Paxil, now i'm on 3 different anti-depressants (Paxil, Wellbutrin & Seroquel). I'm heavily medicated, yet i'm still depressed and suicidal. I live in Canada and I definately don't feel that the Mental Health Care system has helped me at all. Whenever I tell them the anti-depressants arent working, they just perscribe me with another type, i've probably tried every single anti-depressant at some point in my life, yet they still don't work for me. The psycologists solution? up the dosage. I've been crying for help for 10 years and all they can do to help is drug me up? thanks but no thanks. I actually fantasize about getting cancer or some serious disease which would kill me, how sick is that? I weighed 140 pounds when I was in grade 9 (I was short, but very athletic), I now weigh 130 pounds 10 years later. I'm slowly withering away...

Don't worry, you'll have to shell out $400 for another ipod soon enough (speaking from experience). Had my ipod for 1 year 1 month exactly, wont even boot up now. Luckily it was still under warranty since I got an extended warranty. After this though, I will never get another ipod again, $400 for a device that lasts 1 year? No thanks. PS. My original 5 year old 128mb mp3 player still works great, been using it while I wait to get my 4G ipod back from Apple. Ok, so I might be a little upset, but who wouldn't be?
Apple has a great business plan IMO.
1) Design super cool mp3 player with technology that only lasts 12 to 18 months (longer if you're really lucky)
2) Charge $69.95 to replace a battery

This is a good example of why you should not put all of your eggs in one basket. The US Federal Goverment uses Blackberries and this is a response to their mandate that no matter what happens to RIM over this patent dispute, Senators still need their Blackberries to work. Given other communication forms out there, I think it would be better for companies and governments to diversify or use an open standard for communication rather than relying on a single, vulnerable source for all of their commo needs.
The option already exists. They could talk in person, on the phone, e-mail each other, use an instant messaging program, two cups and a string, etc.. They chose to use a blackberry because it is easy and convienent. If blackberry service ever did come to a halt, its like the people would be scratching their heads trying to figure out how to communicate. The fact is, blackberries work, so people use them, if they cease to work, people will switch to something else that works.

Thats exactly what I thought. My guess would be that there is no workaround and that they are just using bully/scare tactics to push NTP around. I mean, why chose to pay royalties when you can just apply a workaround and save alot of dough? Seems odd.

Neo walks through the metal detector, it goes off, he opens up his trenchcoat showing all the hardware, and one of the security guard says "Oh shit.." before being blasted with 30 rounds from an MP5.
Now the thing that I found funny about this was the fact that they bleaped/changed "Oh shit" to "oh gosh" right before he gets filled with 30 rounds of ammunition. So, by that logic, it is ok to shoot someone (that someone being a security guard or cop) but it is not okay to say "oh shit". So according to TBS, killing people is perfectly fine, but saying "oh shit" right before you die is not appropriate. Of course TBS is probably the worst offender when it comes to censoring/editing the movies it shows, so this may be a bad example.
Write your congressmen and women and demand that the judgement be tripled.

this is kinda off topic but i want to know why it is that everyone that i have spoken to doesn't like forecastfox....personally i like it i have it installed and have had no problem with it. yes there maybe other programs that have the same functions. but i enjoy the plugin. everyone trashes a program that rehashes another program.but in my eyes weatherbug and all those other programs suck. long live Forecastfox!!!!!!!!
I would have to agree, I've used ForecastFox for a long time now and it is an awesome extension. It doesn't contain any spyware like WeatherBug so I don't see how anyone could even compare it to that.
