Ok there are 5 computers in this house with 3 non related people all using the same ip. Who gets the seach warrent served against them? I am pretty sure they have to define what and who. I don't think they can seach all 3 of us because they are not sure which one is doing what. (MAC ADDRESS spoofed by router as well) So umm who gets served?

Why is Apple getting so much praise for Wigets and Konfabulator getting so over looked for coming up with the idea to begin with. Is this a, yahoo bought it now its evil thing? Anyway Konfabulator, Is free and runs on windows and Mac OS. Oh and does anyone really know the differnce between wigets and konfabulator running on the Mac? I just use wigets because they are there and I don't know the difference.
Its good that you have your opinoins on what is good design. I personally think that the Mac II is a hell of a lot cooler design for that era then the C64 was for its era. Look at all the designs from 1987. When I see a 1987 monte carlo I want to throw up but some people think its a great car. So again it wonderful that you have your opinion but your opinion does not make you right. It makes it your opinion. I look at the lear-siegler ADM-3A on the http://old-computers.com/ site and I see ugly but in 1973 it was probably a pretty cool design.

Why is the story title Firefox 3D canvas when this thing runs on other browsers. (and probably runs in Konquerer too) So it runs in AT LEAST 2 other browsers but the title is Firefox? I have nothing agaist FF Since its my main (99%) browser for Windows, but geez. Fan boy titles for Slashdot articles is getting out of hand. And you all know if the title of this article had been Safari 3d Canvas someone else would have written this and subsituted Safari for FF.

This is funny? who mods this stuff? The analogy they are mis-useing in the sysnopis is to the apple ad of 1984 that launched the Macintosh, which reference the book. SO besides the fact that apple is not even hyping it like the 1984 Mac launch ad, has made no references to that launch or ad. Who writes these synopsis? What's worse then a fanboy? The hater.
I have NEVER seen that kind of emphasis put on this transition. Way more emphasis was placed on the 68k to PPC transition and the OS 9 to OS X transition. I don't recall reading anywhere that this transition would be the evolutionary step the synopsis makes it out to be.
EA Coders get shafted? I see them playing soccer outside and frisbee and they keep trying to recruit our 3d guy who lives literally across the little park from the EA office in Playa Vista. They seem pretty happy when we talk to them in the court yard of the appartment complex.
Uh i would guess 70%+ of all major release uses a digital intermediate for color correction and and editing. So the movie is already digital. Why would I telecine a movie unless I need it for broadcast? I'm not editing on tape decks. There is a difference between telecine and just doing cineon scans. Anyway the film is in digital format. Its a matter of how they choose to display the product. Output back to film or digital projection. Either way its already digital.
Apple should start its own label. obviously they would need a new name for the label other then apple. But why not? OR better yet somehow create a iTunes version of the Yahoo store. Musicans would pay for a location on the apple servers and then there would be an indie artist location on the iTunes store.

The Gimp UI is so bad the the Cinepaint http://www.cinepaint.org/>(based on gimp) people are writing a whole new ui. Live Picture had a great UI. Combustion Shake Digital Fusion have good UI's. Gimp and photoshop have bad UI's Gimps UI is just freaking crappy. I had to use CinePaint once and I tried and tried. Uh is there is keyboard shortcut to increase brush sizes? Then on top of that It was so slow. Doing a little websize image its fine. Give it a 2k cineion file add a few layers and it just goes dead. I tried everything. Made the tile cache 512MB (tried smaller and bigger and lots of different settings)
Uh WTF do you think those usb ports on the front of the ps2 due? Have you tried pluging in a keyboard and mouse? Some games see them just fine. Its a matter of the game supporting them.
Adobe made a flash authoring program called LiveMotion. It died because, from what I hear from flash programers, it just was not as robust as flash. Lots of programs export swf files. After Effects, Combustion, Illustrator, Toonboom, and I am sure many manny others. The only thing flash has over these other programs at this point is the integration of actionscripts.
Uh, Sonnet, powerlogix, and Gigadesigns all make upgrades for powerpc machines all the way back to the 7500 series of comps. That would be like being able to upgrade to P2 to a p4. But you can't do that on a pc can you?

Seems to me that a dual core gpu (or 2+ cores for that matter) would make more sense then 2 cards? Why can't they make these cards multicore?
