  1. There's no men like the 'yes' men on Is Coffee the Persuasion Bean? · · Score: 1

Consuming coffee has become as ubiquitous as saying 'yes' to your boss. People consume it everywhere, at almost any time.

By default, coffee has become the 'yes' drink when trying to pursuade, second only to Jack Daniel's.

  2. Scantily-clad Pixels on DOA Coming to the Theater Near You · · Score: 5, Funny

I tell people I bought a 360 for Oblivion. But I really bought it for the ladies of DOA.

When playing DOA, do you use an off-brand joystick?

Man, that's nothing. You should see Jim Carrey sending email in 'Bruce Almighty'

  4. Farmed to the bottom of the pile on The Increasing Importance of Community · · Score: 3, Interesting

The psychology and social structure of a bunch of disparate programmers who are not on your payroll is a pill just too difficult to swallow, and one that is usually farmed to the bottom of the 'lets do this' pile.

Are we all just difficult pills? Or are we the cure to the boring workplace?

Change the spammer's email environment before it changes you.
Have an email option solely for communication and not for commercial transfer or for selling things.
    I guess people/business wouldn't go for that.

  13. Wail-Mart Propoganda on Wal-mart's Wikipedia War · · Score: 3, Insightful

Wikipedia is a free, online encyclopaedia. It uses a model of information where anybody can contribute. Although this leads to some vandalism and some disinformation, almost always an accurate and knowledgeable viewpoint prevails. The project has brought thousands of intelligent people devoted to its cause.

Why should Wikipedia be penalized or criticized for telling the truth about a bad company that exploits its workers and the taxpayer at the same time?

We need more truthfulness and facts in this world, not BS spin and PR from company spokesmen.

"At one point Brown's cryptographer hero Robert Langdon explains the Fibonacci sequence -- a mathematical progression that involves adding a number to the two numbers before, so that 1 is followed by 1, then 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, etc. That sequence, when repeated and substituted with letters from the alphabet, spells out the cryptic message.
"The first letter is identified by rewriting the alphabet stating at the first letter in the alphabet, i.e. for the first letter A When 21 is reached the code reverts back to 1, etc., and repeats that until all the letters are substituted," Smith wrote.

  21. A Codesmith Exists on Judge Creates Own Da Vinci Code · · Score: 4, Interesting

    smithcodeJaeiextostpsacgreamqwfkadpmqz

Reverse the first part to get 'codesmith' and take away the word 'a' & 'exists' from the next few letters
This leaves you with 'Jaeotpcgream' which you will use later.
Take letters on the keyboard next to 'qwfkadpmqz' to get 'asriseonas' which is then combined with 'Jaeotpcgream' to form 'jaeotpcgreamasriseonas'
You take out the words 'to raise a scam' then throw away the rest of the letters.

These words are then rearranged to form the sentence:
'A codesmith exists to raise a scam.'

  22. Identity Track Creep on Australians to Get Compulsory Photo ID Smartcard · · Score: 3, Insightful
