only if I can be guaranteed to not become a crazy old coot who thinks his toothbrush is stealing money from his wallet while he sleeps.
I think that is my new goal in life.
Lazy foreign toothbrushes, looking all smug in their stupid little cup. Sneaking money out of my wallet when I'm not looking I SEE YOU! A conspiracy, I tell you, CONSPIRACY!
I ignore them until I want an interrupt, then I deal with them in the priority *I* give them. I do not acknowledge how important you think it is (or how important you think you are). If they come to my desk, I tell them "I'm in the middle of something, and will get to your email/call soon".
I know for a fact they are not based above the SF Weekly office. The SF Weekly office is next door to mine, and I have a friend at Digg. We do not hang out for lunch, because he's a bit too far away.
With such a simple fact wrong, I would not be suprised if more of it was incorrect.
clinton was impeached because he lied to congress. not for receiving a blow job. (although, the lie was about receiving said blow job.)
I support congress impeaching a president for lying. whether or not he should have had to testify about receiving a blow job is an entirely different subject.
To be fair, Final Fantasy has had only one true sequal. X and X-2 was it. I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, XI, Tactics, Chronicles, etc are all independant of each other.
I treat all of those emails as a phishing attempt. If I think it has the possibility of being legit, I type in the appropriate web address (no, I don't cut-n-paste, I type in the previous login site), login and verify the contents.
I for one hate Blue Security even more, thanks to the crap they pulled. They took down a neutral third party in their conflict, they had full control over who that was. Anti-spammers cause more problems than the spammers do.

if you write sane code, it will work on everything. distribute source code and you don't have to worry about it.
on the other hand, the lack of support for 32-bit binaries on the amd64, is intentional. it ain't gonna happen. it requires a massive amount of technical work, for a tiny benefit. if you can call running binary-only blob a benefit (hint: its not).
1) qmail and djbdns don't have licenses, they have rants 2) the license rants are not free for openbsd to use 3) there is nothing wrong with sendmail and bind 4) nothing prevents you from downloading and installing qmail and djbdns
I'm not sure how often "periodically" is, but as long as my power doesn't go out, I get uptimes of 1.5 years on my dsl (at which point, the power goes out).
try getting a real isp, one that knows what they are doing. (hint: if they own the copper, they don't know a god damn thing)

I think you mean: "Lord Apathy. Whatever. Like I care."
these days, when you hit swap your system is misconfigured.
you broke the law. pay the consequences. boo-fucking-hoo. if you don't want to get in trouble, don't break the law. its not that difficult[1] people.
[1] offer only avaliable to rich land-owning white males, thank you drive through.
They changed the story from when I last read it. Now they are listed as above the SF Bay Guardian.

its a legal requirement (according to the GPL). they should suck it up and give him instructions on where to obtain it.

The government has no business encouraging the use of doorlocks or rape whistles.
Rape whistles, is that like "whistle while you work"?
you are describing the macbook pro. dual core 2GHz Intel Core Duo; 2G ram; 120G hd. quit your bitchin, and get a good machine.
also, they have made this great utility that allows you to connect to another (possibly more powerful) machine. its called 'ssh'.

(No, I'm not a spammer)
astronomers renamed it to get rid of that stupid joke once and for all
its now called 'urectum'
finally able to suppress that gag-reflex now?
NERDS!
I'm not saying its impossible. I'm saying the code isn't written, and WON'T be accepted. There's a difference.

no, a traditional phone call goes through many subsequent systems to get to its endpoint.
dsl terminates at the DSLAM, which makes it point to point (now, the IP traffic going over the dsl is not point to point).

No, DSL lines are not dialing a number. They are point to point links.
computers don't care if bullets are fired near it. and if bullets were fired at it, then it wouldn't matter what OS it was running.
