    You have to watch out with the "developers on the * team" i have seen some qoutes for some of the products before where they counted people who had MSDN dev subscriptions for the product..

    i had the same reaction.. the rack behind me right now has around 6TB on it.. and we are a small company of ~15 people

    22TB just doesn't seem impressive..

    I have to wonder.. does that mean that i can pay them to provide better through put for my torrent seed to their customers.. becuase if so i want to .. that way they can get sued too as an accomplice to crime...

    the trick is the foot print of one chip..

    the 2/4/8 GB things you see now stack multi chips.. It is the same as HDD and areal density on the platters the larger the drive the denser it gets..

    that example is alot like the burning lib of congress it is jsut giving you an idea of an amount that isn't known but they want to make it seem massive.

    obivously it wouldn't work if they jsut set it anyware .. it needs to be near the food, i would suspect it would work alot like a combination of current scrubbers on coal/gas power plants and cooling towers on the Nukes

    A semilar idea was once posted about using algae and massive (leaky) fiber cabels(to provide the most light) to stop global warming buyhaving them suck up all the co2, but that was considered dumb.. personaly i would have loved to see them do it for the reason this artical is was though of.. because it is neet and would be a greate way of getting fule

    close.. they don't pay for them until they have sold them.. dell keeps no and i mean no inventory that hasn't been sold.. the only overhead they have is power and people..

    I love the force feed back mice.. my bigest problem is i am addicted to wire less keybaords and mice.. the preformace is just fine and i don't have to mess with a cable.. sure i change the batts about every 3 months but i use rechargables.. i want nice NORMAL wireless mice.. i hate the ones that are designed to fit your hand.. i can't switch them between left and right.. i have for so long wanted a nice normal force feedback mouse that is wireless

    I don't know how you plan on renting them from netflix if they require your player to be connected to the net and register every disk you use with that player so you can't use it in another.. i mean that is what they are planning.. and if they make an exception for the rental places that is jsut the means for people to pirate it so it makes it all pointless..

    I fully agree.. why OpenOffice is amazing considering where it comes from it still has along way to go to mach let alone beat something that has had many years poured into it by some great programers (i know they make stupid mistakes but we all do and you can admit it) just the shear speed of MS office vs. OpenOffice keeps me using it.. OpenOffice has got alot of room to grow.. and i can't wait for it to get there but for now it isn't.

    I know the feeling.. I remember my dad getting a masters in geology and having to do water table flow.. i sat there and learned it with him.. neet stuff.

    got to my cal 3 class and i'll be damned if hey didn't start doing (basic) water table flow.. something that i remember my dad learning in grad school.

    kids now are expected to know so much more about everything it is crazy..
