It looks like they're probably owned by Level3 (one of the Tier1 ISPs, for those unaware), but could be owned or used by Verizon or AT&T. They work everywhere though, no typosquatting to be found (found out about them when Insight started the same shenanigans in KY)
If you're using some sort of router, you should be able to set your own DNS servers network-wide through it's web interface. Otherwise, go to Control Panel-> Network Interfaces-> Right-click (your interface here)->Properties->Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) (in the scroll box)->Properties->Use the following DNS server addresses; and use any/all of these: 4.2.2.1 4.2.2.2 4.2.2.3 4.2.2.4
I'm pretty sure the event in question is Gnutella2, a completely incompatible (with the original Gnutella) protocol developed by the Shareaza team. Shareaza, the people that "hijacked" the Gnutella name, got their name hijacked.
Not sure where you are, but AFAIK, there's a rebranded model sold in England as the RM Asus Minibook, as an educational machine but they should sell it to anyone.
You can tell it off without a hack. There's an option in the search to get rid of the dog, and it doesn't come back. Anyway, they did away with it completely in Vista IIRC
(Full disclosure: my primary machine is an Ubuntu box)
This is all that matters to me. the rest can sort itself out over time. twice the storage space, region coding, an unstable format, and more restrictive DRM is all you need to know. There, fixed that for you.
Not quite. McDonalds charges somewhere around 6$ an hour IIRC. However, they have a deal set up with Nintendo for free access for the DS (and it happens to work with Opera DS). I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't change your MAC to appear to be a DS, and the system give you a free pass.
And I don't believe you could even do that with a USB hub, because the Air's USB port has more power in it to power the DVD drive, and I doubt most hubs would be able to handle the extra voltage.
Odds are, wherever you're going will have Internet access. Why not just: ()delete Truecrypt ()scramble/zero over the files ()re-download it when you need the data back

As far as supporting references, how about his autobiography (Just for Fun: The Story of an Accidental Revolutionary)?
(no link because I couldn't figure out how to hardlink books)
If memory serves, both Flash and Java are implemented in IE via ActiveX.

T,FTFY. HAND.
Sorry, but that's Quake3.
Humiliation indeed.
It's probably pining for the fjord's.

It's a professional format, be expected to pay out the ass for it.
Then there's the MacBook Air, but I prefer my air a bit cheaper and in canister form, rather than book.

As soon as we have the sharks with the frickin' laser beams on their frickin' heads

Sounds like you need to take a look at the Asus EEE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asus_Eee) if you haven't already

And I look at my HTC StrTrk
More appropriate (he was a FS developer after all):
"If the disk doesn't fsck, then you must acquit!"
You know, you instantly lose all respect the moment you say things like "Linuzz" or "Abble"
PS: Before I'm accused of bias, same goes for M$ and the like
And if you need more OSS in your diet, there's SumatraPDF (http://blog.kowalczyk.info/software/sumatrapdf/)
And are you 100% sure that VMWare (or other VM of choice) isin't using any of your swap either?

And don't forget to "cat /dev/urandom > /dev/sda1" to wipe all traces of the wiper
