He does not need to know what an internet is... he needs simple exercises with moving files. Getting them comfortable with moving files and how to open programs/etc.

Origins of the earth have nothing to do with figuring out how Bees fly, but of course to those wanting everything to be a fight against Christianity, I suppose it does.
Do you really think Dell is paying the $80 for a home license... no. There is very little price power in the MS license. The only thing that will make home users drop MS, is when they stop using it at work.
WHAT!!! You missed the memo. Walmart is the King of distribution. If you want your product in reach of 98% americans using only 1 retailer... Walmart is it.

Although I use Pricewatch all the time, I am not sure why it does not have the popularity that pricegrabber got. Perhaps it is the annoying ads that pricegrabber gives. People need to think they are on a flash exciting page. Besides up till a few years ago, pricewatch was lacking in the eyecandy realm. It was pretty ugly.
Great post. This is the key. I have Lingo (which SUX btw), but at least I do nto have to sit in front of my PC to make/receive calls. If someone made an adaptor that would use a modem port to talk to the phone and basically function as a VoIP PBX they would be king.
Think about it. The person who supports more OSs then MS, gets the tech croud. The tech croud is the one telling the not-so-technical people what to use. The "shakeout" will come as soon as someone releases a good cross platform client. Simple as that.
We are not starved of it... we are addicted to it. We really like it. We think that freedom and the free flow of information is a pretty good thing. Quite frankly, we are curious why others like their dictatorships and cencorship. Here's a secret, they DON'T! They just get shot if they say so.

Yes, It is called 20% time. They can do anything they want, no questions asked as long as it "betters the company". Companies like google will take over the world, and the should with that type of attitude.

They will... It is a class action law suit. Apple will settle for say 5 mill. Liers will take 1/2 of that. the other 2.5 mill will go to the 2.5 million people who joined the suit. When it is over, they should be able to by a pen, or a pack of gum or something.
