Slight correction..it's hot coffee not hot chocolate (that'd work for a porno though:P). I agree, it's a smart stategy for Walmart. It's not like they're going outright ban selling it. Just wait for its rating to be nailed completly.
Though I'll never understand why a year matters (M to AO). Or for that matter why a person can fight in wars when 18 yet not drink till 21 (legally:P).
Even if your wrong. It doesn't change this thing I'm about to say. People are sheep. The majority of people out there are sheep. It's why the Nazis existed and why some people were oblivious to what happened till after. And now everytime there's a terrorist attack people will willingly give up whatever just to be safe.
You forgot an important one (to me at least). Everything looks the same. No ugly layouts, no ugly colors, no annoying videos and music, etc.. (granted this is an easy fix in Firefox and Opera with a greasemonkey script)
My parents were the same. As long as I told them when I left (usually in person) then I told them when I got there. It didn't matter. And when I left to return home I would call them before I left. It gave my parents peace knowing that if I wasn't home within a certain amount of time from my last call there was something wrong. Plus they didn't have to check up all the time.
I won't have a problem with giving my kid a cell phone. But it'll come when he/she can show me that they're responsible enough to handle it. Same goes for having a computer in their own room. And privacy. Show me you deserve it and I give it to you. Break it and then you lose it for a long long time.
Strangely I figured I'd always do the opposite of my parents when I'd be parenting. But I'm acting more and more like them all the time..
Yeah..I love how the ID worked..
Ok Social Security #, it's a # that you should keep private and not give to anyone else..
Bank: "ok can we see your SSN" *hits head*
And the problem is that it's always going be like this. Even if a new system were in place, people would ask for that cause it's the only way they know or think they know of identifying a person. -_-. Thus defeating the point of its existance in the first place.
Because capitalism has proven that it by itself is just as bad as communism. There needs to be a balance in the middle instead of swinging one way or the other.
Not to mention your insults diminish your arguement. When you insult somebody they're less likely to listen to your point.
Linux isn't bulletproof. But it continues tons of nanobots that fix it rapidly:P. Rendering most viruses and such sorta..well useless within a short amount of time.
Compared to Windows' rate and their software rate of patching. >.>
Hmm maybe it was thru the media and I just wasn't paying direct attention to it. Though I still think the extremists goals are to kill everyone if they aren't Muslims like them. Granted it may start from military operations or even the Crusades. I just think that the more the countries do to combat terrorism it just feeds it. The family of those you kill, the civilians that get hurt (like in Lebanon) are now more friendly towards Hezbollah and might even join their ranks now. But that's why I say Hezbollah is in a win win situation. No matter how Israel decides to try to end their presence (without an International force), Israel winds up losing.
Actually I never even heard a politican say that till you brought it up. I always felt that was the partial goal of terrorism (the true goal is for us to all be extremists like them or die).
Either way for them its win win just like Hezbollah vs Israel. If Israel strikes, it makes Israel look bad. If they don't strike then Hezbollah just fires more rockets.
Basic human instinct (well something that's been forced into us). Something tries to get our attention and we tend to answer it.
IT Sysadmins are immune because they get called way to much and learn to ignore them to continue enjoying their vacations.
True but it's not like the RIAA likes to make it easy for us nor the music companies. Sony's rootkit for example? They can argue that comes from pirating (though they're idiots..think about it, if they're pirating it why would they buy it in the first place. Even if its someone who bought it that's uploading it a rootkit is still stupid).
In this case It'd be safer for me to go out, buy the CD then download it to my computer (well skipping the obvious viruses and trojans and finding a good quality version).
But it could go both ways.
Wasn't there also a method that involved forcing the Google tracking cookie (or whatever it was) to be set to 0 (which is shared among other people not wanting to be tracked by Google) making the tracks useless?
pfft, I would hope most pirates would realize the US' use of terrorism to gain power is a sham. Personally I'd update after a couple months of other people investigating what the patches do.
The only problem is that game developers trying to make a game for a console want a standard so they know what they can do when designing it. So having some people with an HD-DVD drive and others not makes it hard to make a game that way.
But yes that's how a drive typically works. Its usually done by software or the CPU. Compared to a player where its dedicated hardware doing the work (which is much more efficient).
That and psychologists have learned that most people are not capable of self-control.:P Which is good, cause we get paid for that.:)
Well maybe not we cause I don't know if your a psychologist and I'm not (I'm majoring in it though and plan to be one).
The thing is, it's well known that people can't control themselves. Whether its genetic (yes some personality traits can now be linked to genetics though it isn't on one gene) or just in their mind its a creative way to get people to become absorbed into the game thru their lack of self control. And I think that's the key. Why is obesity a rampant problem? Lack of self control. Why is their excessive spending? A lack of self control. The only reason why we see this problem boom as of late is because companies have finally figured out the best way to get their customers to look at their product, use it, and combine that with their lack of self control to ensure that they stay with it.
I don't use a hacked (1.5) PSP anymore though I did play around with it and homebrew (as well as emulators and ROMs). I got bored and updated it to 2.8 though. Game wise it was never that good for me..I only own about 4-5 games for it which is low low amount. I use it more for a anime player and displaying pictures/manga as well as.txt files I need to read.
The only thing I really regret about upgrading the firmware was that I forgot there were some homebrew programs that were good for viewing pictures. >.
Well besides that fact that I've tried iMacs >.>. I personally don't have a problem with the OS. In fact if Apple sold OSX without the requirements of it being on a x86 Intel Processor or PowerPC. (currently I run a dual core AMD Opteron 165) then I'd use it. Its just that if I want to use OSX I have to use what they want, which frankly is annoying because I enjoy tweaking my hardware and the ability to swap parts out whenever I want.
The main problem with wireless (well I guess it's not a huge problem) is that its still slower then wired cables. So its faster (at least I perceive it to be) to transfer files to my networked computer thru a wired connection rather then thru my wireless. Nothing wrong with the wireless, I use it for my (crap college) laptop and playing my DS and PSP on it. But for data movement purposes between hardware I'll stick with wired for now.
If you were running around trying to do a mission faster you'd be more tired and sweaty right?
Though Nintendo should just stick with her taking off the helmet like they did in Prime.
You would be correct. This only applies for Federal cases.
Your correct. It stands for Rating Pending.

That'd actually be nice. As long as its not forced on everyone else I wouldn't have a problem with it.

In that case though couldn't the family just get the kind of lawyer that is only paid if you win? Granted your not going get as much from the lawsuit.
I knew it was going be free, but the question really is..is it going be free and be worthwhile to play without serious problems. (lags, ads, etc..)

Well that and whenever you do that..you see this happen. REVOLUTION.
