I recall reading somewhere (perhaps Zimmerman on pgp site) where there are potential criminal cases pending but for the fact that the data is encrypted using strong and open encryption on a hard drive.
I've been getting alot of telemarketing calls lately and thought about getting one of those devices that play the "disconnected signal". Then I figured there might be a product to filter the calls with some kind of blacklist/whitelist before they reach my phone. Hang-up on blacklisted numbers while all other calls are then connected to my home phone which would then ring. I could not find anything off the shelf to do this however - at least no solutions where I did not have to answer the calls via my computer.
It is possible to do with thermoelectrics but I'm not sure it would be worth the trouble and expense. Making sure that the thermoelectrics don't overheat sometimes becomes complicated as they will be destroyed if the temp. to them gets too high.
I agree. I believe our CFL's were from Costco and they are trashed quickly using them in our kitchen (cycled on/off alot day and night). I don't think they are lasting as long as the incandescents they replaced - sucks. I'll read this thread further to see if anyone has recommended any specific brands/models.
Not long ago I was looking at a live cd on the wife's laptop. I left it in the machine and turned off the laptop. Later she turns on the laptop and starts clicking away attempting to exit the "app". Installed a new OS over the existing one and then asks "so where's my pictures?".
I wonder how well these things would deal with seaweed. The Cetus design says it's "weed shedding" - can't imagine it working real well in an area with alot of seaweed though.

As of 2.0.2 release there was no support for SMP. Possible in the future though: http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=1176
Yep. I told the dealership if you want to advertise on my car - pay me. They removed the license plate frame.
I believe sauerbraten was renamed cube and this seems to use the same engine. Pretty cool - kids will have fun editing with it.

Did you vote for him? Be honest.
We're now focusing on who designed their clothes.
We can't even opt-out of having the govt. manage our own retirement funds (social security).
Can you tell us what sort of HD problems you were experiencing because of the faulty power supply?
what's wrong with labview? Just curious - I thought I might use it for future project.
That's mighty funny. The music in the ads for Twang could be Beach Boy's "good vibrations":D

I like the comma as decimal point simply because it's easier to see - easier on old eyes :)
I second bzflag. Cool game. I will destroy you phyrestang - how about some 1v1? :)
LOL. That is the best post I've read in a long time. I am with you my hateful leader!
He was being sarcastic I think and should be modded funny. I could be wrong.

Not sure I understand how the water becomes colder. Can you explain?
I just assumed the color photos were the most recent :) - now I get it.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the yellow prop plane towing it?
Better yet, how about a silent leaf blower. Far more annoying IMHO.
It's an unpowered glider and it looks like it requires a noisy conventional propeller aircraft to tow it up.
Wouldn't this be a good service to run on some sort of P2P network with no centralized tracker?
