    Gamefaqs.com runs a character battle yearly and I'm sure whoever is on the top of the list people would want in the game. This would include Chrono (Chrono Trigger), Mega Man, Cloud, Sephiroth and Vincent (FF7). All the other highly ranked characters in the character battle are already in the game.

    Dell bought out Alienware a few months back and didn't 86 AMD from Alienware's line up. I don't think it's a big shocker that Dell will now sell AMD's in their main online store. For all we know it might just be the rollover from Alienware's warehouse.

    What I'm more interested in is what'll happen because of the ATI and AMD merger.

  10. Wii controller? on Gaming When We're 64 · · Score: 1

    They don't even take into account the Wii controller. I wonder if we'll still have the energy to play some of the games like Mario tennis on the Wii. Think of a first person shooter when you're hand normally shakes up and down just holding the controller, that'd be a sight to see. Maybe by then we'll just play Uno with cards instead of on the Xbox1280.

  11. Market share != Profit on PS3 Predicted to Lead Market Through 2011 · · Score: 1

    Market share != Profit and I think that's a good thing. If you look at the profits compared to the market share on the last generation consoles you'll see that Nintendo was in first place. Because Nintendo doesn't spend as much they don't have to sell as much, or sell for as high of prices, to make a profit.

    As for the idea of needing the Wii and either the 360 or PS3 to get all the best games, I'm not sure if I like the idea. That just means this console generation the priority to want 2 or even 3 consoles has increased; it was already a high priority last generation. It seems to get the RPGs that I love I'll need the PS3, but will still want the Wii for the new variety of games it'll have. As for the 360 I'm not sure what games they make, and M$ doesn't need anymore of my money.

    I could always just get a Wii and goad one of my friends into getting a PS3. I already have a friend with a 360 and have played it enough to be happy. Ive also went half and half on RPGs with friends before. Who else is considering this option, working as a commune to play all the games?

    I was going to say the same thing, but in regards to Google vs. the well-known search engines of the time.

    The only way IE7 won't be big is if the majority of people switch over BEFORE it comes out. Otherwise it'll be downloaded in a windows update. Then the people who never used Fire Fox and Opera will fall in love with the tabbed windows and other features they didn't know they could have already been using a long time ago.

    In high school I found a quicker way to solve for the area of an ellipse. My teacher checked for 2 weeks to see if there was a quicker way then the one he taught in class, with no luck. 2 weeks later, through the help of my friend I finally explained how and why the formula worked.

    Though out that month of time we tested the formula many times and found no conjecture. The teacher told me I could probably get the formula published.

    2 week later I completely forgot the formula. Some days I wonder if I could come up with the formula again. I think somehow this relates my actions to Perelman, but on a smaller scale.

  16. Re:Missed Advertising Opportunities on 68% of UK Universities and Colleges Use Firefox · · Score: 2, Insightful

    I work at a University and I think the main reason they don't push Open Office is that it's not running on their computers.

    I had a student who did a paper at home on Open Office, e-mailed it to himself, and then came to school to print it. He downloaded the file at school, but was unable to open it on our computers there. The school prohibited him from downloading Open Office (or any software) so he could not open it to print it or save it as a RTF to be later used in MS Word. Sure it was partially his fault for not saving it as RTF at home, but more problems like this could occur, because of uninformed users.

    The universities have MS Word (bundled with other programs like Excel, Access, and other programds used at the university) and pay more than enough for the site licenses, so they might as well use it.
