I absolutely need a presence, things arise where a walk down to someone's office is much easier then trying to Skype with them on a problem, white boarding a problem with skype is an effort in futility. On top of that my team and I design control software for industrial type systems that under no circumstances are to be connected to the outside world.
The question is and always has been is it reasonable to to take. If a kid leaves their bike out in the front yard is it reasonable to assume their giving away their bike. If someone leaves their garage door open is it reasonable to pilfer their tools? Being deficient in understanding societal norms for what is acceptable is not a good defense.
You missed the 3rd option, you don't understand what a X year weather event is? To put is simply it's the longest or highest stretch of weather over that given period. A 10 year shade event is probably a week of little to no sunlight.
Even if solar panel production was clean, there is still one giant hurdle, energy storage. Enough storage to handle a 10 year shade event would probably be the industry standard, that's not going to be small or cheap in most of the country. Solar is not a good replacement until storage gets much smaller and cheaper.
It's even worse then that. Common carriers were given authority to seize property to put up telephone poles for the greater good. They own those poles and will not grant competitors access to those poles. If a company uses eminent domain to acquire property they should be bound to operating for the greater good if communications travel on eminent domain poles. They shouldn't be allowed to have it both ways.
Decision implies a choice, an atom does not make a choice to add an atom or not, if an electron is available it will add it. A microprocessor does not choose, it only does what its told to do based on variables given to it.
John Deer does this with tractors all ready, the tractor is free the software is not. When you want to replace a part on your free tractor a john deer tec with a special reader has to come out to tell the tractor software to accept the replacement part for a small fee. Not surprisingly there is a bootleg tractor OS that is missing this feature.
The "waste" from nuclear reactors can be recycled, there is still waste from recycling but instead of decaying in 1,000s of years it's 100's of years.
The amount of nuclear waste to generate electricity for a year for the average American is 40 grams. Burning fossil fuels produce between 350 and 1000 grams per kWH they produce multiple orders of magnitude more waste then nuclear power does.
That's what our company does for all higher level managers, who are the only ones with non-competes. You receive 3 months worth of pay which is the term of the non-compete, it does not matter who ends employment. I work for an employee owned company so a balance between the companies interest and employees' is the philosophy we live with.
A small subset of Trump supporters are as you described, none of your comments are relevant to his supporters as a whole. That's been my point all along you're trying to generalize his supporters so they are easier to demonize or write off, instead of actually attempting to understand them. Your us vs them mindset is how we ended up to two very bad choices this last election.
Let me just summarize what you said it doesn't matter that 75% of trump supporters want to accelerate clean energy, Trump said he was going to bring back coal jobs so they must secretly want coal jobs back.
Could it be that environmentalism is not a priority issue and trump mentioning bringing back coal does not cause them to start literally shaking. What is the dark and ugly truth? That people have different values then you? That people people can support someone and not fanatically follow everything they say? That people can not be defined by one simple issue?
Your support of your agenda is blinding you to my point, coal jobs are not an issue most trump supporters care about. In fact 75% of trump supporters want to accelerate the growth of clean energy. I suggest you look at actual polling data and learn which issues were most important to trump supporters. Stop trying to cherry pick fringe issues to paint all his supporters in such a light.
You do know that there are only 50,000 coal miners in the US, the only states where the margin was less then that were Alaska, Main, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin and roughly 0.03% of the voting population. Please pick a better straw man next time. You are either too intellectually lazy to find out why people voted for Trump or other people's beliefs are such a threat to your psyche that you refuse to find out.
So your solution to companies lobbing and bribing to influence regulation is more regulation? The place where regulation is needed is on lawmakers. Ethics regulations for lawmakers are a joke, because they're the ones that wrote it. You will never be able to fix a corrupt system by going after people playing by the corrupt rules, you need to go after people making up the rules.
It's precisely people like you that are the problem, you are unable to understand the other side's view point so they must be ignorant. Do you know what issues Trump supporters cited as being the reason they support him? Don't feel too bad both side's do it, remember the Obama phone lady she was the poster child for uneducated liberals expecting a handout. Your similarities with the blind trump supporters is staggering the main difference is what you blindly support.
Blocking someone on twitter is not retaliation. If an obnoxious person follows a congressmen to multiple town halls, that congressmen can choose not to call on them for questions.
I prefer the labor participation rate, % of adults working. It's been oscillating between 62.5% and 63% since march of 2016 before that is was steadily dropping from 66% in Jan 2009. It's not without its flaws part time and full time are treated the same but it's much better then the unemployment rate.
A survey in 2011 found that only 72% of Muslims viewed suicide bombings and other forms of violence against civilian targets as never justified. The pew poll in 2013 had similar results, I could not find more recent results on muslims' views but I doubt they've changed much. I challenge you to find any poll of Christians that that think the actions you listed above are never justified below 95%. More then one in four muslims are nuts while less then 1 in 20 Christians are, everyone has crazies, islam is the only religion that encourages the craziness.

Just use duck facts for your two form identification and The Stig won't be able to gain access.
They also say is easier to hit a home run with a large bat then a small one.

Gasoline cars pay a 1 - 2 cents per mile to use the roads, how much does a cyclist pay?

Couldn't have said it better myself, profit sharing and incentive bonuses are no different then giving employees an actual cut of the profits.

You spelled plastic loan sharks wrong.

A net seems like a much simpler solution.
