OpenBSD developers from all over the world get together once a year at their annual 'hackathon'. This year's hackathon is about to start with around 60 developers, taking place in Calgary, Alberta in Canada from May 21st through May 28th.
I gave Freenet a try a few months ago and I wasn't able to load any site besides the search page. And yes, all that pedophilia scared me. I still don't understand why people spoil something that could be an interesting idea with this kind of content.
I think you have more of a chance to start a discussion on that statement then you do in regards to which kernel is "better".
For sure. But I always thought that Linux was indeed only a kernel for the GNU OS, which in some point in the future could be replaced by HURD. Someday.
That said, I am going to use this guide to disable Greasemonkey. I write websites so I can present ideas to people. I don't want them to see my site the way they want to see it. I want them to see it the way it was meant to be seen.
I agree with that as far as it's about sites where design is a major issue. But when it concerns forums and news sites, I think comfort should prevail. In these cases, Greasemonkey can be a great tool.
Almost every week I receive an email or an IM of a friend complaining their pc's are full of spywares, porn and gambling pop-ups, search bars, or: "I can't reach Google! Oh my God, it just opens porn!". I always say: "Try another browser, Firefox is pretty friendly". A friend of mine switched back to IE just because Firefox sorted her imported IE bookmarks alphabetically, instead of keeping the old order. Come on, it can't be only this.... MSIE must be addictive somehow...
I actually think Gnome is specially gentle for beginners, and can be easily configured to function like Windows' explorer. And as an Ubuntu user, I'm able to testify how the system is user-friendly out of the box. It's nice alternative to Windows.
If you don't want your government doing anything for you, why would you you want a government for?
If it was ME posting THAT, I'll would get more bad karma...
Great! Because they're girls' best friends!

WINE is always troublesome...
Premature or immature?
"doing Europe in a day"
Sounds like a gang bang pr0n movie.
I still think that business should adapt to technology, and not the other way around.
Apparently some stoned middle aged hippie met Photoshop.
Maybe I should add a sig explaining my views to make it a little easier to decipher.
It would be helpful.
the Sun home page has a picture of McNealy and Ballmer smiling together.
Wow! This is some creepy picture...
Well, that I respect: declared stubbornness. But don't give me the Bookmarks bullshit...

Someone help me here: this is Funny or Troll?
If they were really smart, they would also provide their own bittorrent tracker server (complete with Google/Overture ads)
Yes, I think it's a good idea too. These guys should adapt their business models, instead of fighting against a "new" technology.
Would it even be possible to have a story without any comments?
Never.
So that's why Einstein looks so tired in this icon...

I don't think anyone would like to steal my thoughts. I would like to get rid of them myself...
Heh! Imagine a thousand geeks droping iPods in a fountain.
